A Quasi-Experimental Investigation of The Effects of Two Different Negative Pressure Levels During Open Endotracheal Tube Suctioning on Physiological Parameters in Mechanically Ventilated Patients in The PCCM ICU At Pt. B.D. Sharma P.G.I.M.S., Rohtak
Abstract: Introduction: Patients who are intubated often have difficulty clearing secretions through coughing. As a result, endotracheal suctioning is essential to minimize the risk of consolidation and atelectasis, which could impair ventilation. However, suctioning can pose several risks and complications, including bleeding, infection, atelectasis, hypoxemia, cardiovascular instability, increased intracranial pressure, and potential damage to the tracheal mucosa. The level of negative pressure applied during suctioning plays a crucial role in the …

Techno-economic Assessment of a Domestic Refrigerator with Aluminium-based Suction Line and Capillary Tube
Abstract: The present work reports the experimental performance evaluation of aluminum suction line-based domestic refrigerators. Furthermore, it compared domestic refrigerators with conventional copper capillary tubes and suction lines using R600a as a refrigerant. Performance parameters: energy consumption, ice-making time, and pull-down time was reduced significantly compared to conventional copper suction and capillary tube. Refrigerants having Ambient temperature for ice making test and pull down were initially set at 43°C and that …

Exploring the Application of 5-axis CNC Machining for the Fabrication of an Impeller for Single Suction Centrifugal Pump
Abstract: This study delves into the practical application of 5-axis machining for the fabrication of an impeller for a single suction centrifugal pump. It explores the integration of CNC machining and CAD as a crucial aspect, highlighting the synergy between design and manufacturing. The efficiency and performance of the pump are greatly influenced by the impeller, an important part of pump design. Impellers made using traditional manufacturing techniques frequently have intricate …

Effect of Nebulization With 3% Hypertonic Saline for Airway Clearance on Mechanically Ventilated Patients Admitted in ICUs of Pt. B.D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak
Abstract: Background of the Study: The ability to breathe artificially prolongs life in many situations. Patients requiring mechanical breathing in the intensive care unit are more likely to have complications and even death due to a variety of interconnected causes. As a result, it became critical to rapidly ventilate in the safest and most efficient manner available. Intubated patients have benefited from nebulized suctioning, as it improves lung clearance and decreases …

Entropy Analysis of Unsteady MHD Bioconvective Nanofluid between Parallel Disks under Squeezing Motion and Multiple Slip Conditions.
Abstract: This research offers valuable insights for improving heat transfer and minimizing entropy generation in engineering systems that involve nanofluids and microorganisms. It investigates the unsteady squeezing bioconvection flow of a nanofluid between two parallel disks, with a focus on entropy generation, flow dynamics, heat transfer, and the concentration of both nanoparticles and microorganisms. The lower disk is stretched horizontally and subjected to suction, while the upper disk moves vertically, creating …

Lead Time Reduction in Pipe Manufacturing: An Application of Value Stream Maps and 5S
Abstract: The pipe manufacturing industry has a considerable effect on the economic growth of a country. In this competitive scenario, manufacturing industries receive immense pressure for providing high-quality products at affordable cost, and on-time delivery. This paper aims to reduce lead times in a small-scale pipe industry plant by the application of the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) technique. The products of the plant are Resin Polyvinyl Chloride (RPVC) pipes, RPVC suction …
