Review On BIM-Based (Revit+Robot Software) Comparative Wind Load Analysis of High-Rise RCC Buildings in Zone-III, IV and V
Abstract: Wind load is one of the most critical factors influencing the design and serviceability of high-rise reinforced concrete (RCC) buildings. As building height increases, wind-induced effects such as storey drift, lateral displacement, and structural stiffness become dominant design considerations. Numerous studies have been conducted using conventional and advanced techniques such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Building Information Modelling (BIM). However, limited research focuses on comparative …

The Influence of Soil Types on the Performance of the Building Frames: A Dynamic Analysis
Abstract: The dynamic response of the building structure is to a large extent dependent on the nature of the supporting soil. Soil stiffness and damping metrics fluctuation can cause significant tension in the behaviour of building skeleton when exposed to dynamic loads such as earthquake or wind. This research aims to evaluate how different soil conditions namely hard, medium, and soft soils impact the seismic performance of building frames under dynamic …

Seismic Response Characterization of Vertically Irregular Multi-Storey Buildings Incorporating Mass and Stiffness Variations Using E-TABS Software
Abstract: The increasing demand for innovative architectural designs has led to the widespread use of vertically irregular configurations in high-rise reinforced concrete (RC) buildings. However, such irregularities significantly influence structural performance under seismic loading conditions, leading to complex structural behaviour and stress concentration at specific levels This study focuses on evaluating the seismic behaviour of vertically irregular multi-storey buildings using nonlinear time history analysis, which provides a realistic representation of structural …

Comparative Seismic Response of Irregular High-Rise RCC 25 Storey Buildings with and without Shear Walls Considering P–Delta Effect
Abstract: The seismic performance of high-rise reinforced concrete (RCC) buildings is significantly affected by plan irregularity, lateral stiffness distribution, and second-order (P–Delta) effects. Irregular structural configurations may generate torsional response and increased deformation demand under seismic excitation while geometric nonlinearity further amplifies displacement and internal forces in tall structures . This study presents a comparative seismic assessment of a G+24 storey RCC building having overall plan dimensions of 30,000 mm × …

Review of Diagrid and Conventional Frame Systems for Modern Building Design
Abstract: The demand for high-rise buildings in modern cities has accelerated the development of structural systems that balance safety, efficiency, and architectural innovation. Conventional moment-resisting frames, though widely adopted, often become inefficient in tall structures due to higher material consumption and greater lateral displacements under seismic and wind loading. Diagrid systems, defined by their diagonally inclined members forming triangulated grids, provide an alternative approach with enhanced lateral stiffness, reduced drift, and …
