Investigation of Dielectric Properties of Lead-Free BaTiO3 Ceramic at Different Sintering Temperatures
Abstract: In the present study, Barium titanate (BaTiO3) was produced using the conventional solid-state sintering technique at three distinct sintering temperatures: 1000, 1100, and 1200°C. It was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction pattern that the perovskite phase was formed without secondary peaks and that the presence of the tetragonal phase was observed near room temperature. Upon conducting a frequency- dependent dielectric study, it was found that ceramic sintered at 1100°C exhibited …

Effect of Bi2O3 Content and Sintering Temperature on the Frequency-Dependent Magnetic Properties of Nanosized Barium Hexaferrite
Abstract: The magnetic properties of commercially available nanosized barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) are studied. The particles were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and high-frequency magnetic measurements. The frequency-dependent magnetic properties viz. complex permeability and loss tangent were analyzed within the 10 MHz to 1 GHz range. Variations in complex magnetic permeability and loss tangent were discussed under varying sintering parameters such as temperature and sintering aid content. The …

Fabrication and Multi scale Characterization of Functionally Graded Composites Reinforced with Hybrid Ceramic–Metallic Phases
Abstract: Using composite materials as functionally graded composites (FGM) can improve its excellent material properties. In this work, magnesium peroxide, silicon carbide, and aluminum are used to create four-layer FGMs. The sintering process, which blends the particles of each material using a powder methodology, has been used to complete the fabrication process. Three factors, including sintering time, sintering temperature, and compacting pressure, are taken into account when fabricating FGM. The FGM …

Fabrication and Experimental Investigation on Mechanical Properties of Quartz Particulate Reinforced Aluminium Composite
Abstract: Composites are processed by adding a reinforcement phase in a base metal. The base material is known as a matrix and the constituent that is added is called reinforcement. The matrix acts as a support while the reinforcements attach themselves in their respective positions which results in the synthesis of a material which has different mechanical and thermal properties compared to their raw materials. Since aluminium is used as a …

Development and Comparative Study of Aluminium- Copper Metal Based Composite Through Different Routes
Abstract: The aim of this study is to develop aluminium-copper composite through powder metallurgy technique. Powder metallurgy is an art or technology which can produce exact dimension of final roducts utilizing less energy. Copper oxide (CuO) was used as the source of copper, which was extracted through a reduction process using dextrose. The reaction was thoroughly examined and reported. Commercially available aluminium powder served as source of the aluminium. Aluminium- copper …
