Nanoparticle Reinforced Base Material Thermal Properties Using Numerical Model: A Review Paper
Abstract: Present paper deals with the review of the analysis of base materials thermal properties. Nanoparticles are reinforced into the base material to analyse their thermal properties using different numerical models. Mixture rule and Maxwell model are considered to analyse the thermal properties of Al6061/Al7075 base material thermal properties reinforced with silicon carbide, aluminium oxide and copper nanoparticles. From the analysis, it has been found that addition of the nanoparticles into …

A Review on Tensile and Flexural Properties of Natural/Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites
Abstract: In the most recent decade, natural plant fibers like (jute, sisal, banana, hemp, kenaf, and so on) are getting consideration from numerous analysts and academicians to use it as a substitute support of engineered fiber strengthened polymer composites. Composite assume huge job as designing material and their utilization has been expanding step by step because of their particular properties, for example, high solidarity to weight proportions, high modulus to weight …

Experimental and Numerical Studies on Radial Tensile Strength of Composite Rotor
Abstract: This paper describes the experimental and numerical studies on the radial tensile strength (RTS) of composite rotor. Carbon/epoxy composite rotors were fabricated using a filament winding process and their radial tensile strength was determined by diametric tensile testing of composite C-rings. The radial tensile strength of the composite rotor was measured as ~ 22 MPa and the failure was found to occur circumferentially symmetric about the horizontal plane of the …

Modelling -Based Evaluation of Hybrid Natural Synthetic Fiber Polymer Composites for Sustainable Energy Applications
Abstract: The growing need of lightweight, high-performance, and green energy system materials has increased the research on hybrid polymer composites. This paper gives a modelling-based evaluation of polymer matrix composites which are reinforced using natural fibers like jute, sisal, bamboo in a combination with synthetic glass fibers to be used in sustainable energy sources. An analytical model has been used to assess the effect of hybrid fiber composition on mechanical, thermal, …

Potential of Midrib of Cocos nucifera Leaf for Reinforcement of Plastics
Abstract: AbstractCoconut palm (Cocos nucifera) is an abundant crop of tropical areas. In the present work, mechanical properties of midrib of coconut palm leaf as tensile strength, tensile modulus, flexural strength, flexural modulus impact strength and elongation at break is experimentally determined and compared with other fibers. Single-fiber pull-out test is conducted to determine critical embedded length and interfacial adhesion between fiber and matrix for reinforcement in polyester resin. Tensile test …

Determination of Quick Switching Double Sampling System by Attributes under Fuzzy Poisson Distribution: Acceptance Number Tightening
Abstract: AbstractAcceptance sampling plans are used to accept or reject the lots based on the inspection of samples. A mixture of acceptance sampling plans with switching rules for changing from one plan to another are called acceptance sampling schemes. The simple and most generally used sampling scheme is quick switching system (QSS-1). Quick switching system with reference to single sampling plan is a system which requires fewer samples for processes running …
