Effect of RHA on Strength of M20 Concrete Under Both Acidic and Non-Acidic Medium by Using Rebound Hammer Test
Abstract: Commonly, Portland cement is the most common type of cement in general use around the world as a basic ingredient of concrete which release large amount of carbon dioxide while manufacturing. Consequently there is important to utilize choice to limit the effect on climate. In this paper Rice husk debris were to some degree traded for concrete material. In this investigation ice husk debris are utilized as a swap for …

Strength Assessment of RCC Beams Subjected to Corrosion
Abstract: The damage assessment of civil structural members is one of the most important and recently emerging fields in engineering. Deterioration of a structure may occur due to a host of factors such as poor workmanship, improper maintenance, atmospheric effects, accidents, natural calamities. Certain causes like environmental effects, natural calamities cannot be controlled. Therefore, durability of concrete structures especially those exposed to aggressive environments is of great concern. Many deterioration causes …

Durability and Non Destructive Test of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Concrete
Abstract: AbstractAim: This paper presents the strength and performances of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) and hybrid fibre reinforced concrete (HFRC). The hybrid fibre is considered in the combination of hooked end steel fibres and polypropylenes fibres. Method: To study the durability properties, the fibre content dosage V f ranged from 0.5 to 2.0% of steel fibres, and 0.8SF0.3PP, 0.7SF0.3PP, 0.6SF0.4PP, 0.5SF0.5PP of hybrid fibres. 10 mixes including one control mix …

Detection and Assessment of Structural Weaknesses in Existing Offshore Structures
Abstract: The structural integrity and serviceability of existing structures may deteriorate over time due to aging, environmental exposure, material degradation, overloading, inadequate maintenance, and repeated operational stresses. Early identification of structural deficiencies is essential for preventing progressive damage and ensuring safe and reliable performance throughout the service life of a structure. This study presents a systematic structural condition assessment of an existing structure using visual inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques. …

Feasibility of Using Nondestructive Testing (NDT) in Roller Compacted Concrete Quality Assessment
Abstract: Roller compacted concrete is a no slump, heavy duty concrete usually used in pavement constructed of roadway, parking lots, in areas of frozen environment or aired region where there is shortage of water for curing, and when other paving alternatives do not satisfy the pavement design requirements regarding heavy loading, and nonstandard wheel configuration. The traditional testing e slab samples have been prepared in the laboratory using two types of …

Experimental Investigation on the Effect of Manufactured Sand in Concrete
Abstract: Concrete is the most widely used construction material owing to its versatile nature. Three fourth of the concrete is made of aggregates, amongst which fine aggregate has massive demand. River sand is the predominantly used fine aggregate, which is under significance because of the increased demand and less availability. The continuous mining of river sand has also affected the environment; ecologically and economically. Manufactured sand offers viable alternative to natural …

Assessment of Compressive Strength of OPC and PPC-Based Concretes Combined by Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity and Rebound Hammer
Abstract: In this study, non-destructive tests were performed on ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and Portland pozzolana cement (PPC) based concrete specimens, namely the ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) and rebound hammer (RN). A relationship is thus established between the NDT values and the compressive strength. A statistical regression analysis was performed between the compressive strength with UPV and RN values to obtain a best-fit relationship and correlation coefficients. To take into account …

From Waste to Strength: Hybrid Binder Approach for Sustainable M25 Concrete
Abstract: The growing demand for concrete in infrastructure development has led to increased cement consumption, raising serious environmental concerns due to high energy use and carbon dioxide emissions correlated with cement manufacturing. In this context, the use of industrial residues as partial substitutions for cement has achieved deep focus as a sustainable construction strategy. The current investigations experimentally explore the strength and quality performance of concrete produced using a hybrid binder …

Damage Detection And Its Repair And Rehabilitation Techniques In RCC And Steel Structures Using NDT
Abstract: In the paper along with Case studies Buildings and structures are normally designed for a specified target life based on the functional and economical aspects. It is due to the fact that the assumptions are made regarding durability of material without knowing the behaviour of material completely in real environment. The various tests are to be carried out to assess the causes & extent of distress, the quality/strength of concrete …
