Proximate Composition and Nutritive Value of Red Seaweed (Rhodophyta) and Green Seaweed (Chlorophyta) as Livestock Feed
Abstract: Seaweeds have been recognized globally as the biological and ecologically potential sources of proteins, lipids, fibers, and minerals for livestock. The study was carried out for a period of 3 months from April to June 2023 in Saint Martin’s Island, Bangladesh, to explore the potentials of red seaweed (Rhodophyta) and green seaweed (Chlorophyta) as livestock feeds. Samples were collected from Saint Martin’s Island and analyzed for dry matter (DM), crude …

Preserving Papaya Pulp with Potassium Metabisulfite: A Study on Prolonging Shelf Life
Abstract: Papaya is a highly perishable fruit with a shelf life of only 3 to 6 days under tropical conditions, leading to significant postharvest losses. This study aimed to preserve papaya pulp for subsequent use in product development .Pulp was extracted from “Indian Red Lady Variety” of papaya and treated with potassium metabisulphite (KMS) at concentrations of 500, 1000 and 1500 ppm. The treated pulp was stored at room and refrigerated …

Utilization of Jackfruit as a Potential Supplement in Yoghurt and Evaluation of Its Nutritional and Commercial Aspects
Abstract: This study aimed to formulate fruit juice yoghurt by incorporating nutritious and flavorful jackfruit juice, known for its health benefits. Jackfruit juice was added at different levels (5%, 10%, and 15%) to yoghurt, and various chemical, microbiological, bioactive compounds, and sensory quality characteristics were analyzed. Statistical analysis revealed that panelist acceptability decreased with increasing fruit juice level. Among the samples, yoghurt with 10% jackfruit juice showed significantly different sensory characteristics …

Comparative Evaluation of Fiber-Reinforced Composite and Elastic Fiber Posts in Reinforcing Peri-Cervical Dentin: an In-Vitro Study
Abstract: This study evaluates the fracture resistance of short-fiber reinforced composite and elastic fiber posts compared to conventional hybrid composites in reinforcing peri-cervical dentin of endodontically treated teeth. Methods: The crowns of thirty single-canal mandibular premolars were resected to achieve a dimension of 4mm from 1mm below the highest point of the proximal cervical line. In Group 1, teeth underwent endodontic treatment with gutta-percha filled up to the cement-enamel junction (CEJ) …

AI-Driven Inverse Design of Functionally Graded Bio-Nanocomposites for Sustainable High-Barrier Packaging
Abstract: Multilayer plastic packaging realizes high barrier performance through laminated heterogeneous structures, but the heterogeneous structure has severe end-of-life challenges caused by the interfacial incompatibility of materials and the poor recyclability. This study proposes the inverse design of functionally graded PLA-nanoclay composite films by reinforcement learning as a monolithic alternative to traditional multilayer systems. Twin-screw extrusion is designed as a continuous control Markov decision process, and proximal policy optimization (PPO) is …

Quality Appraisal for the Ornamental Bird, Fish, Dog, and Cat Foods Available in Bangladesh
Abstract: The study aimed to assess if the chemical composition of different avian, aquatic, dog, and cat foods commonly available in Chattogram, Bangladesh adheres to the recommended standards. Food samples were collected and subjected to proximate analysis for the dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), crude fibre (CF), ether extract (EE), nitrogen free extract (NFE), and total ash (TA). The plant seeds used for ornamental birds exhibited substantial variability in terms …

Polymer-Integrated Smart Biomedical Waste Management System Using AI and Sensor-Based Segregation
Abstract: Biomedical waste, which comes from healthcare facilities like hospitals, clinics, and labs, includes both infectious and non-infectious materials. This can range from sharps and pathological waste to pharmaceutical leftovers and general medical trash. If this waste isn't handled, sorted, and disposed of properly, it can pose serious contamination risks, leading to infections, workplace hazards, environmental damage, and public health emergencies. Traditional biomedical waste management often relies on manual sorting, which …

Comprehensive Analysis of Nutritional Constituents in Food: A Quantitative and Qualitative Approach
Abstract: The nutritional value of food is the quality & safety of food, and its effect on human health. The quest for food composition demands an integrated, quantitative and descriptive treatment. Nutritional Components Major nutritional components including carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber, were studied in selected food samples. We applied quantitative techniques such as proximate analysis, spectrophotometry, and chromatography to quantify levels of micronutrients and macronutrients. Qualitative analysis …

Autonomous Agentic AI for Adaptive Cure Optimization and Defect Prevention in Thermoset Polymer Composite Manufacturing
Abstract: Thermoset polymer composites occupy a central position in modern structural manufacturing, from aircraft fuselages to wind-turbine blades. Despite progress in resin chemistry and fiber architecture, the “cure process” that transforms compliant preforms into load-bearing structures remains difficult to manage. Manufacturers encounter ‘voids’, “interlaminar delaminations”, and “spring-back distortion” when curing complex or thick-section parts. The cause is not ignorance of the relevant physics, but rather that ‘temperature’, ‘chemistry’, ‘rheology’, and ‘mechanics’ …
