Polymer-Based Acousto-Optic Ultrasonic Sensor for Non-Destructive Evaluation of Dielectric Insulation
Abstract: A dual-polymer fiber-optic sensor for monitoring partial discharge (PD) activity in high-voltage polymeric insulation is presented in this work for non-destructive evaluation and dielectric testing applications. Dielectric weakness within polymeric insulation leads to partial discharge activity, generating ultrasonic acoustic waves that propagate through the medium. The developed sensing assembly comprises a conical polymer-based horn that gathers and concentrates the ultrasonic acoustic emission energy generated by dielectric weakness, and a single-mode …

Securing the Internet of Things: A Survey on Lightweight Blockchain Framework for Enhancing Security and Privacy
Abstract: Modern technologies, supported by the Internet of Things (IoT), have imparted great speed in data sharing between connected devices across several domains of the economy. The Internet of things transformed data collection activities with its creation of smart homes and cities, healthcare, transportation environments, and industrial automation. The fact that there are multiple resource-limited devices, and continuous data transfer of sensitive information has turned the IoT devices less secure and …

How Beagle View of OWASP Top-10 Can Restrict the Optimal Web-App Security: The Security Ladder for Optimal Posture
Abstract: Is OWASP Top-10 good enough to ensure that your web application is secure enough? When it comes to application security, many of us in the information security community, are generally overwhelmed with the OWASP Top-10. Even when we deliberate with developers, OWASP Top-10 is on top of our agenda, and surprisingly the only agenda in many discussions. The approach adopted for this paper is two-pronged: Secondary data – Open source, …

Preparation of Vitamin B12-Enriched Curds: A Novel Approach to Address Nutritional Deficiency in Vegetarian Populations
Abstract: Addressing the significant public health challenge of Vitamin B12 deficiency, particularly within India’s substantial vegetarian population (estimated at 35%), this study explored biofortification of the widely consumed dairy product curd (dahi) as a culturally acceptable solution, overcoming barriers of cost, access, and compliance associated with traditional supplements. Researchers isolated bacterial strains from Swiss cheese, presumptively identified as Propionibacterium shermanii based on phenotypic characteristics, and used them to ferment curd under …

Study of Proximity Points and Fixed Points
Abstract: This paper explores the concepts of proximity points and fixed points, which are fundamental in mathematical analysis and nonlinear functional analysis. Fixed-point theorems play a crucial role in optimization, game theory, differential equations, and dynamic systems. Proximity points, an extension of fixed points, provide a more generalized approach, allowing near-coincidence rather than exact identity. The study discusses classical fixed-point theorems, such as Banach’s contraction principle, Brouwer’s fixed-point theorem, and Schauder’s …

Research in the Unani System of Medicine: A Review
Abstract: The Unani system of medicine is one of the oldest medicine systems serving humanity till today, and that in itself is proof of the correctness of its principles. Acient living people and their disease management was possible because of these traditional medicine systems and Unani being one of these. As each science has its own basis and goals, so odes Unani science. Like all other sciences, its progress also requires …
