A Hybrid Multi-Physics Ensemble Deep Learning Framework for Simultaneous Prediction of Thermal and Electrical Conductivity in Functional Polymer-Based Nanocomposites
Abstract: Polymer-based nanocomposites have become promising materials for applications in energy storage, flexible electronics, biomedical devices, aerospace components, and advanced engineering because of their tunable thermal and electrical properties. Reliable prediction of these properties is essential for accelerating material design; however, existing analytical models and conventional machine learning techniques often fail to represent the complex interactions among filler characteristics, polymer matrices, processing conditions, and interfacial transport phenomena. This work presents HMEP-Net, …

In Vivo Biocompatibility and Interfacial Stability of Thermoplastic Polyurethanes and Nanofilled Resin Composites: A Bioanalytical Study of Polymer-Host Interactions Under Dynamic Loading
Abstract: The widespread application of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) and nanofilled resin composites in biomedical devices requires rigorous assessment of their biocompatibility under mechanical stress. While nanofilled composites utilize filler particles (<100 nm) to enhance surface properties and wear resistance, the biological response to these materials in a hydrolytic, enzymatic environment remains a critical area of investigation. Objective: To analyze the in vivo bio-molecular response at the interface of TPU aligners and …

A Review on Hybrid Inorganic–Polymer Analog Nanocomposites Incorporating Pozzolanic Wastes and nano-Additives
Abstract: The recent progress of polymer matrix nanocomposites (PMNCs) reveals that the performance of matrix and filler is at the core of matrix–filler interaction, interfacial bonding, and well-controlled distribution of nanoscale reinforcements. Applying these concepts, we consider inorganic particulate systems as hybrid nanocomposites, in which a discontinuous inorganic matrix is effectively reinforced via synergistic co-incorporation of pozzolanic wastes and nano-additives. In the composite system described above, silica-, alumina-rich pozzolanic materials serve …

Machine Learning Based Optimization of Polymer Structure Property Relationships in Composite Material Systems
Abstract: In modern engineering applications, polymer-based composite materials have garnered a lot of attention because of their lightweight nature, high strength-to-weight ratio, and changing physical features. In order to maximize the relationships between polymer structure and properties in composite materials, this study suggests a strategy based on reinforcement learning (RL). The research utilized the Polymer Composite Properties Dataset, which contains 12,700 records associated with polymer matrices, reinforcement fillers, interfacial bonding characteristics, …

Marine Algal Microfiber and Agro-Waste Reinforced Crosslinked Polymer Composites for Sustainable Coastal Materials
Abstract: Crosslinked bio-polymer composites reinforced with marine algal microfibers and agro-waste fillers were fabricated and systematically characterized for sustainable coastal applications. Mechanical testing revealed that tensile strength increased from 18.5 MPa for neat polymer to 25.1 MPa at 20 wt.% reinforcement (~35% improvement), while the flexural modulus improved from 0.72 GPa to 1.02 GPa (~42% increase). Impact strength, however, decreased from 3.8 kJ/m² for neat polymer to 2.9 kJ/m² at 30 …

Unification and DC Conductivity of PDMS/NiNPs Nanocomposite
Abstract: The DC conductivity of nickel nanoparticles–polydimethylsiloxane (NiNPs–PDMS) composite materials has attracted considerable attention due to their promising applications in flexible electronics, sensors, and energy storage devices. The electrical performance of these composites is largely governed by the formation of conductive networks within the insulating polymer matrix. Incorporating nickel nanoparticles into PDMS introduces conductive pathways that significantly enhance DC conductivity once a critical percolation threshold is reached.Several key factors influence the …

Polymer Electrolyte Films Doped with Nanofillers ZnO: Electrochemical and Optical Investigations
Abstract: The electrochemical and optical characteristics of polymer composite electrolyte films doped with zinc oxide (ZnO) nanofillers are thoroughly examined in this work. Because of its superior film-forming capacity, flexibility, and ionic transport properties, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) mixed with potassium iodide (KI) is used as the host polymer electrolyte. To investigate their effects on ionic conductivity, dielectric behavior, and optical transmission, ZnO nanoparticles are synthesized and added to the PVA–KI matrix …
