Synthesis and Immobilization of N-doped Titanium Dioxide for Degradation of Amaranth Dye under Visible Light Irradiation from Light Emitting Diodes
Abstract: Titanium dioxide photocatalysis has a great potential as green and sustainable technology to treat pollutants present in water. In the present study, N-TiO2 (nitrogen doped titanium dioxide)photocatalyst was prepared by wet method using titanium tetra iso-propoxide and NH3. The calcination of the prepared photocatalyst was performed at different temperatures. The prepared catalyst was characterized by DRS, FE SEM and TEM. The N-TiO2 was immobilized on the surface of the quartz …

Future Challenges of Photocatalytic Water Splitting: Sustainability
Abstract: Photocatalytic water splitting has emerged as a promising technology for sustainable hydrogen production through the direct utilization of solar energy. This process mimics natural photosynthesis, using semiconductor materials to absorb light and drive the decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen. The method provides a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to the global energy challenge by enabling the reduction of carbon emissions. Among various solar-to-chemical energy conversion approaches, photocatalytic water splitting …
