Deploying Fuzzy Logic for Self-Tuning Regulator Design for Motion Control in Modern Electrical Machines
Abstract: Modern electrical machines require sophisticated motion control systems capable of adapting to varying operating conditions, load disturbances, and parameter uncertainties. Traditional self-tuning regulators (STR) based on classical control theory often struggle with nonlinearities, time-varying dynamics, and complex operational environments characteristic of contemporary electric drives. This article presents a comprehensive framework for deploying fuzzy logic in self-tuning regulator design to address these challenges in motion control applications. Fuzzy logic controllers leverage …

Drive Line for Plug-in Electric Vehicle with PMSM Motor and Hydrogen Fuel Cell
Abstract: In the era of transportation, the best effort will be to replace conventional fossil fuels. Instead, the usage of fossil fuels will give way to renewable energy sources and other clean energies. Many institutions promote the developments and research in the area of hydrogen fuel cell development. This paper passes through the hydrogen fuel cell area as the primary source considered here is a hydrogen fuel cell. Since electric motors …

Research to Improve the Performance of Position Control System Using the SPMSM Based on the Time-varying High Order Sliding Mode Control Method
Abstract: This paper proposes the method of position control system design using permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on the time-varying high order sliding mode control (TVHOSMC) strategy. In the conventional sliding mode control (SMC) system the chattering phenomenon appears in the vicinity of the sliding plane and while the error state of system reaches the sliding plane, the system is sensitive to the external disturbance and the parameter change. Thus, …
