Evaluation of Inhibition Effect of Nanohybrid Curcumin (Cur-ZnO) and Cur-free Against Some Types of Bacteria
Abstract: This study aimed to prepare an efficient nanohybrid food preservative by loading curcumin on zinc oxide. The prepared compound was characterized using microscopy and spectral methods. Fourier transform infrared spectrum of the nanohybrid curcumin showed a shift in the frequencies of some chemical groups towards high and low frequencies. X-ray diffraction (XRS) spectrum also revealed the emergence of new diffraction planes in the nanohybrid compound, Compared with the carrier spectrum …

Comparison of Bond Strengths of Nano and Microhybrid Flowable Composites for Orthodontic Bonding: An Invitro Study
Abstract: Introduction: When the orthodontic brackets are bonded to the etched enamel, the ideal orthodontic adhesive should have optimal bond strength and be able to withstand masticatory forces as well as orthodontic forces. At the same time, when the treatment is completed, the bracket should debond without causing any damage to the enamel. There have been many recent advances in composites in general and their applications in orthodontic use is questionable. …

Comparative Evaluation of the Effect of Adhesive Restorative Techniques on the Reinforcement of Simulated Immature Permanent Teeth: An in Vitro Study
Abstract: The aim of the study was to compare the reinforcement effect of 3 different adhesive restorative techniques on simulated immature maxillary central incisors after apexification. A total of 30 simulated immature permanent maxillary central incisors were randomly assigned into 3 groups (n=10), according to the reinforcing technique used: Group 1: Nanohybrid composite. (Tetric N-Ceram Ivoclar Vivadent), Group 2: Short-fiber reinforced composite (everX posterior GC EUROPE) extended 3mm below CEJ, covered …

Comparison of Mechanical Properties of Resin-based Dental Composites with Different Filler Types
Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate in vitro the influence of nano-sized filler particles and agglomerates of nano-particles (nano-cluster)in resin-based dental composite material. Four commercially available resin-based dental composites – Filtek Z250, Filtek Supreme, Filtek Z100 (3M ESPE, St Paul, MN, USA), Heliomolor (Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaon, Liechtenstein) containing different filler particle types and morphologies were investigated. The compressive strength, compressive modulus, flexural modulus and flexural strength of these …
