Study on CdS Nanoparticles and Nanocrystalline Thin Films Synthesized by Chemical Bath Deposition Technique
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) nanoparticles and nanocrystalline thin films were synthesized by chemical bath deposition technique at room temperature. The elemental composition of the as-grown CdS nanoparticles and nanocrystalline thin films were determined by energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX). Crystallite size and lattice parameter were determined from X-ray diffractogram whereas transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image gave particle size and the selected area …

Electrical Properties of Nanocrystalline CuxO Thin Films Prepared by r. f. Sputtering Method
Abstract: Normal 0 Nanocrystalline CuxO (0 < x < 1) thin films have been synthesized using r. f. sputtering method at different r. f. power in an atmosphere of O2 and Ar. The effect of varying r. f. power, oxygen partial pressure and film thickness during deposition on the crystal size and electrical properties of CuxO thin films have been studied. The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron …

Tuning the physical properties of spray pyrolysed nanocrystalline CdO thin films by varying the substrate temperature
Abstract: Spray pyrolysis technique has been employed to deposit cadmium oxide (CdO) thin films on glass substrates preheated to different temperatures (250, 350, 400 and 500°C). Structural, morphological, optical and electrical characterization studies were performed on the films to study the behavior of the films. The thicknesses of the films prepared at different substrate temperatures vary from 497 to 465 nm. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the films are polycrystalline exhibiting …

Influence of Dip Cycles on the Structural, Optical and Morphological Properties of CdS-SILAR Deposited Thin Films
Abstract: Cadmium sulphide (CdS) thin films were deposited on a glass substrate by a relatively simple and cost effective successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method at temperature 80ºC at different deposition cycles. For a fine nanocrystalline thin film growth, the parameters include concentrations of cationic and ionic precursors, number of immersion cycles, and the immersion time. A study was made to know how dip cycles affects the structural, surface …

Semiconducting Materials for Emerging Electronics and Technological Applications
Abstract: Semiconducting materials are important for emerging electronic and photovoltaic technologies because their structural, optical and electrical properties can be tailored for specific device applications. In this study, a TiO₂-based composite photoanode is considered as a polymer-assisted semiconducting thin-film system in which inorganic TiO₂ nanoparticles are processed with organic film-forming components to produce a porous layer for dye-sensitised solar cell application. Nanocrystalline TiO₂ nanoparticles were synthesised from titanium isopropoxide using a …
