Abstract: The interaction between the polymer science and the endodontic biomaterials field has increased recently while considering the search for chelating agents. CHD-FA (Carbohydrate-Derived Fulvic Acid), a naturally occurring low-molecular-weight polymeric organic acid, has potential chelating and antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. This investigation examines the polymeric chemistry of CHD-FA and compares the effect of CHD-FA with other chelating agents, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and citric acid, on root dentin microhardness. A total …

Enhancement of Mechanical Properties in Eutectic Al-Si Alloy Matrix Composites Reinforced with Kyanite and Graphite via Stir Casting
Abstract: The purpose of this work is to enhance the mechanical performance of a eutectic Al–Si alloy by incorporating hard ceramic (kyanite) and soft solid lubricant (graphite) reinforcements using a liquid-state stir casting route. Metal matrix composites were fabricated with kyanite contents of 2, 4, and 6 wt.% and a constant 2.5 wt.% graphite. Their microstructures and mechanical properties were systematically evaluated. The microstructure was examined using optical microscopy and energy …

Dynamic deformation and microstructural characteristics of AA5083 under the influence of electrochemical behaviour using equal channel angular pressing
Abstract: Large-scale Equal channel angular pressing is a great engineering material that has more potential for AA5083 industrial applications. Uniaxial dynamic compressive tests across a temperature of 448 K were conducted for the ECAP technique AA5083 in order to create such a design framework. The microstructure was described using transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscope both before and after dynamic loading. The plastic flow behaviour of the AA5083 was described …

Evaluation of microstructure properties and characterization of fracture locus of AA5083 through equal channel angular pressing techniques
Abstract: In this investigation, a commercially available aluminium alloy called AA5083 was subjected to two passes of equal channel angular pressing utilising a route B_C at room temperature for this experiment. To evaluate the effect of AA5083, the microstructure, mechanical attributes, and wear parameters of the alloy were examined both prior to and subsequent to undergoing this technique. Using an optical microscope, microstructural investigations were performed on the pressed alloy's flow …

Investigation of microstructure and mechanical properties of multi-pass friction stir processing on precipitation hardened aluminum alloy
Abstract: In the present study, multi-pass friction stir processing of aluminum AA2014-T651 alloy is per-formed with one and four passes. The multi-pass processing is performed at a tool rotational speed of 1000 rpm with a traverse speed of 63 mm/min. Microstructural characterization of fric-tion stir processed specimens indicated a significant grain refinement with equiaxed grains in the four pass specimen. Microhardness and tensile strength of the multi-pass specimen decreases with the …

Improvement of mechanical properties for PMMA based Denture material
Abstract: Denture material properties can be improved by various fiber addition. The most often used denture materials are polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) resins; nevertheless, they do not have a high flexural strength (FS). This investigation compared the mechanical characteristics of an injection-molded polyamide. Deflex, an additional injection-molded PMMA base material, SRIvocap, and a typical compression-molded PMMA (Meliodent). The flexural qualities (deflection, bending strength, and bending modulus) of 100 different denture base materials …

Enhanced Mechanical and Tribological Performance of Magnesium–Boron Carbide Composites Fabricated via Stir Casting for Lightweight Structural Applications
Abstract: This study investigates the fabrication and evaluation of properties of magnesium (Mg) matrix composites reinforced with boron carbide (B₄C) for lightweight structural applications. Stir casting was employed to incorporate B₄C particles at varying weight fractions (0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%) into the magnesium matrix. The influence of B₄C on density, porosity, hardness, tensile strength, and wear resistance was systematically examined. Theoretical density increased from 1.74 g/cm³ (pure Mg) to 1.88 …

Corrosion Measurement and Hardness Test of Magnesium-Tri Calcium Phosphate Composite Fabricated by Stir Casting
Abstract: Magnesium MMC is preferred in applications requiring high-quality materials and has replaced monolithic materials. Bio-implants traditionally used are titanium, steel, and nickel-titanium alloys, however, their removal necessitates surgery, which is costly and painful. While biodegradable 3D-printed implants are effective and eliminate the need for a second surgery, they remain expensive. After several studies to solve this issue, the development of biodegradable implants is considered. Magnesium possesses good biodegradable properties. An …
