Introduction of New Flow Resistance Parameter for the Study Coefficients of Vertical Velocity Distribution
Abstract: Validity of log-law distribution of velocity in vertical section for alluvial channel under different localized bed and flow conditions is studied in this paper. In this study a new dimensionless parameter, Hari’s Number (Ph), whose value is to be taken as Q/νh, is proposed to relate the same with numerical coefficients of log-law distribution. It was found that the values of numerical coefficients could satisfactorily be correlated to the proposed …

A Law of Iterated Logarithm for Delayed Random Sums
Abstract: Let Xn , n 1be a sequence of independent identically distributed random variables witha common distribution function F and letnn jj = 1S =X , n 1. When F belongs to the domainof attraction of a stable law with index , 0 < < 2, Chover's form of the law of the iteratedlogarithm has been obtained for delayed random sums.

Turbulence Characteristics of Flow over Smooth and Rough Beds
Abstract: Experimental study on turbulence measurements in an open channel with smooth and rough beds using acoustic doppler velocimeter (ADV) has been carried out in the present study. Measured velocity distribution along the depth on smooth and rough beds for different discharges and bed slopes is in good agreement with logarithmic law. The turbulence intensities were more near the bed and less near the water surface. Existing equations for turbulence intensities …

The Futuristic Outlook of E-Commerce in India
Abstract: In the past ten years, India has witnessed extraordinary growth in e-commerce, which can be attributed to the proliferation of smartphones, the growing middle class, and the increasing number of people who have access to the internet. The retail scene has been revolutionized by major firms such as Amazon and Flipkart, as well as growing local platforms, which offer a diverse range of items and services. A further acceleration of …
