Honeybees as pollinators and their conservation: A review
Abstract: Pollination is a critical mechanism for maintaining and conserving biodiversity, with pollinator diversity playing a major role for the enhancement of food security and livelihoods. Pollinators provide the essential service of enabling plants to produce fruits and seeds in our ecosystems. These pollinators come from many groups within the kingdom Animala, including insects, birds, bats and reptiles. Among them, arthropods, especially honey bees, are pivotal In delivering pollination services to …

Stingless Honeybee’s Rare Sugar and PCSK 9 - LDLR Interaction, A New Hope for Hormone Dependent Breast Cancer Patients – An In-silico Study
Abstract: Hypercholesterolemia is a lipid disorder characterized by elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), commonly known as "bad" cholesterol. This condition is a significant risk factor in the development and progression of hormone-dependent breast cancer, as well as in the emergence of resistance to hormonal therapy. One of the key regulators of cholesterol metabolism is the proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type-9 (PCSK9) protein, which facilitates the degradation of the LDL receptor (LDLR) …

Preserving Saccharomyces cerevisiae Culture for Bee Health and Production
Abstract: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a single-celled fungus also known as baker’s and brewer’s yeast, is extensively used in brewing, baking, and winemaking due to its robust genetics and utility as a model organism in scientific research. Its role extends beyond these applications into apiculture, where it is utilized to produce supplements and pollen replacements for honeybees. These yeast-based supplements are crucial, especially during times of pollen scarcity or colony stress, as they …

A Study on Insect Journey using Sensor
Abstract: The orthodox entomologist’s toolkit – the net, the vial, the killing jar – has long rendered its subject’s mute. We have cataloged insects by their form, their pinned and static beauty, but have been largely deaf to the living, breathing reality of their existence. This study proposes a paradigm shift: to listen. By deploying a suite of miniaturized, non-invasive sensors – from accelerometers that trace the micro-vibrations of a beetle’s …
