Influence of Epoxy-Based Thermally Conductive Polymer Composites on the Thermo-Hydraulic Performance of Finned Helical Coil Heat Exchangers Across Flow Regimes
Abstract: The use of polymer composites in heat exchanger applications has gained increasing attention due to their advantages in weight reduction, corrosion resistance, and design flexibility. However, their relatively low thermal conductivity compared to conventional metallic materials remains a key limitation for efficient heat transfer. In this study, the thermo-hydraulic performance of a finned helical coil heat exchanger is investigated with particular focus on epoxy-based polymer composites reinforced with thermally conductive …

Investigation of Forced Convection Heat Transfer Efficiency Using Cuo/Water Nanofluid in A Concentric Tube Heat Exchanger with Helical Coiled Insert
Abstract: An apparatus that uses nanofluid to transport heat is called a heat exchanger. This uses a nanofluid as the working fluid. One can make nanofluid hanging nanoparticles in liquids such as petroleum products, water, oil, ethylene glycol, fluorocarbons, etc. Forced convection heat transfer using CuO/water as a Nanofluid and distilled water as the base fluid has been examined in a concentric tube heat exchanger with helical coiled insert. Tests on …

Thermal Dissipation Performance of Metal–Polymer Composite Heat Exchanger for Enhanced Thermal Management in Compact Electric Geysers
Abstract: Most electric geysers these days are made from all-metal stuff, like stainless steel tanks and copper coils for heating, plus mild steel on the outside. Standby heat losses can be 20 to 40 watts, and a 15-litre unit weighs around 6 to 8 kilograms. Manufacturing costs are higher, too. Hard water makes it worse, with limescale building up on the heating elements and cutting thermal conductivity by 10 to 30 …

A review on the Enhancing Heat Exchanger Efficiency with CuO/Water Nanofluid in a Shell and Helical Coil System
Abstract: Over the years, there has been a lot of focus on improving heat transmission by utilizing various approaches in an effort to make heat exchangers smaller and less expensive. The following methods have been found to be the most successful in increasing heat transfer rate in heat exchangers: Nano-Fluids, first (3) Rubbing heat exchanger surfaces rough. (2) Inserting fluid tabulators. However, a combination of all three approaches or any two …

Experimental Investigation of Heat Transfer Rates in Water Coils Under Various Flow Conditions
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of various flow conditions on heat transfer rates in water coils through experimental analysis. Water coils, crucial for efficient thermal management in industrial applications, were tested under different flow rates and orientations to assess their impact on heat transfer performance. The experiment involved measuring heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops for coils subjected to flow rates ranging from 0.5 to 5 L/min and comparing results …
