Design and Pinch Analysis of Mono-Isopropyl Amine Production Process Using Aspen Plus and Aspen Energy Analyzer
Abstract: This paper presents the design of Mono-isopropyl amine production process. Process flow diagram is designed with Aspen Plus user interface. Mono-isopropyl amine obtained is of purity 100% and the designed plant is safe to environment with less emissions. After the design of the process pinch analysis is applied for the entire process by using Aspen Energy analyzer. From the extracted data using Aspen Energy Analyzer a HEN (Heat Exchanger Network) …

Pinch Analysis of Acetone Production Process Using Aspen Energy Analyzer
Abstract: This article is divided into two parts. In the first part a process flow diagram for the production of Acetone was designed with Aspen HYSYS. Acetone obtained is 94.6% pure and the designed plant is safe to environment with less emissions. In the second part HEN (Heat exchanger networks) was developed for the process plant by performing pinch analysis using Aspen Energy Analyzer. Retrofit analysis was applied to find an …

Design and Energy Analysis of Butyl Acetate Plant using Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Energy Analyzer
Abstract: This paper discusses the design of Butyl acetate production process by using Aspen Hysys. Heat integration is performed for the entire designed plant using Aspen Energy Analyzer. The proposed design consists of a mixer, continuous stirred tank reactor and two distillation columns. Methyl acetate reacts with butyl alcohol and gives the butyl acetate, methanol. The paper is divided in to three parts. In the first part, the entire process plant …

Design and Control of Ethyl Acetate Production Process
Abstract: In this study, the design and control of ethyl acetate production plant has been investigated. The proposed design consists of a continuous-stirred tank reactor and two distillation columns. Ethanol reacts with acetic acid and gives ethyl acetate and water. Plant-wide operability and control of the entire process plant with decentralized controllers is explained by doing both steady state and dynamic simulations. Tray temperature control loop performance is tested for the …

Sustainable Production of Drying Oil using ASPEN PLUS
Abstract: This original research work discusses the sustainable design of drying oil production process using ASPEN PLUS V8.8. Waste reduction analysis studies using WAR (Waste Reduction algorithm) at the early design stage is performed to minimize the waste or pollution by taking better design decisions in the process. Energy analysis is carried out for the entire process and it is observed that 48.92% of energy can be saved for the base …
