AI-Enabled Recycling of Thermoplastic Polymer Waste in Hospitals: A Circular Economy Pathway Toward Green Hospital Certification
Abstract: This review research explores the latest role of AI in improving thermoplastic waste management for hospitals in terms of segregation accuracy, operational efficiency, and circular economy outcomes. Seventy-five relevant studies were analysed, and it was reported that AI-based systems, especially CNNs, YOLO models, and sensor-fusion approaches, achieved high accuracy in the identification and sorting of medical plastics, often above 90%. Early evidence also reveals improvements in the reduction of contaminants, …

Critical Review on Photocatalytic Polymer Nanocomposites for Indoor Air Purification in Hotels
Abstract: The indoor air quality has become a key measure of health, comfort, and customer satisfaction of a hospitality setting. The challenges that continually affect hotels especially because of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particulate matter, and microbial pollutants that are present in cleaning agents, furnishing, and human activity. In this regard, the photocatalytic polymer nanocomposites are one of the sustainable and efficient means of purifying indoor air. These materials combine photocatalysts …

Review and Analysis of Biodegradable Polymer Composites for Sustainable Hotel Packaging Applications
Abstract: Given the fast expansion in the hospitality and tourism industry, the decline in single use packaging materials has greatly amplified the quantity of plastic wastes, as well as the destruction of the environment. The present review is dedicated to the design and use of biodegradable polymer composites (BPCs) as the sustainable solution to the hotel packaging. The paper will be a synthesis of recent developments in the field of natural …

Holistic integrated approach of designing a satellite town: Introducing theories of environmental parameters like pollution free, circular economy and sustainability
Abstract: Urban regions are quite challenging to restore the quality of environment at the global level as well as posing serious threat to climatic changes. This fact is demonstrated on the grounds that around 70% of the carbon footprint is contributed from the urban sector. The authors of the present study have attempted to design a satellite town of population 50,000, partly to dilute the population density of main urban town …

Luxury in Sustainability: Designing Eco-Friendly Yet Opulent Interiors
Abstract: This report explores the evolving relationship between luxury and sustainability in interior design, challenging the misconception that opulence and environmental responsibility are incompatible. It examines how high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces integrate sustainable materials, energy-efficient technologies, and ethical sourcing to create refined yet eco-conscious interiors. Through detailed case studies, including Bloomberg European Headquarters, Six Senses Zil Pasyon, and Passive House designs, the study highlights innovative approaches to reducing carbon …

Degradation of Building Materials by Corrosive Pollutants
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) is used for the corrosion suppression of reinforced concrete structures (RCS). One of the main issues with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It interacts with acids, alkalis and salts to produce disintegration in building materials components. Pollutants and effluents speed up disbanding inside and outside reinforced structures. Bio-wastes come in contact of building materials to develop miro and macro-organism and these organisms release acid substances to …

Reduction of Air Pollutants of Urban Canyons through Management of Particulate Matters 2.5 in the Streets
Abstract: Urban canyons are long and high sky-scrappers closely to narrow streets result in very different microclimate challenges. These spaces often trap pollutants and restrict air circulation and intensify more retention of heat making them very uncomfortable for pedestrians. In order to resolve this issue a strong set of design guidelines and frameworks were needed which can balance out the human comfort and environmental aspects. This research studies strategies to improve …

Study the Impact of Corrosive Pollutants on Building Materials Corrosion
Abstract: Reinforced concrete structures (RCS) may be made more resistant to corrosion by using fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). One of the primary concerns with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It causes disintegration in building material components by interactions with salts, acids, and alkalis. Both within and outside of reinforced properties, pollutants and effluents accelerate disbanding. When bio-waste and building materials come into contact, microorganisms and macro organisms, grow and emit acid …
