Cultural Geomorphological Investigation of the Area around Twelve Jyotirlinga in India
Abstract: The cultural geomorphological investigation of the area around the twelve Jyotirlinga in India presents a comprehensive scientific exploration of the geological and geomorphological aspects of these sacred sites. Originally believed to be 64 in number, the twelve Jyotirlinga represent the most revered and holy places dedicated to Lord Shiva. These temples, distributed across the Indian subcontinent, exhibit a remarkable geographical arrangement in a distinctive spiral pattern. Based on aerial positions …

Land surface dynamics: A Multiphysics Approach to Modeling Mass Transport
Abstract: Land surface dynamics are governed by complex interactions among hydrological, atmospheric, and geomorphological processes that collectively drive the transport of mass across terrestrial environments. Traditional modeling approaches often isolate individual mechanisms, limiting their ability to capture the coupled feedbacks that shape landscape evolution. This study presents a multiphysics framework for modeling mass transport on land surfaces, integrating fluid flow, sediment transport, heat exchange, and chemical reactions within a unified computational …

Debris Flow Kinetics in Planetary Environments: A Systems Perspective
Abstract: Debris flow kinetics in planetary environments represent a critical intersection of geomorphology, fluid mechanics, and planetary science. These gravity-driven flow mixtures of solids, liquids, and gases play a key role in shaping planetary surfaces and recording environmental histories. This study adopts a systems perspective to analyze debris flow behavior across different planetary contexts, emphasizing the interconnected roles of material properties, energy transformations, and environmental forcing. By integrating rheological models with …

Assessment of Soil Erosion Impacts at the Panchhari Sub-district of Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh Using Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques Based on RUSLE Model
Abstract: Soil erosion has been identified as a significant issue around the world. It is often exacerbated due to land deterioration, conversion of agricultural land, and other anthropogenic activities. It negatively impacts soil productivity, water quality deterioration, river and reservoir bed sedimentation, nutrient loss, and sustainability of natural resources. Understanding the controlling factors of soil erosion can help us to identify erosion-prone areas and improve land use management. The novelty of …

Identification of Groundwater Potential Zone of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Tehsil Using Remote Sensing and GIS Technique
Abstract: Groundwater is one of the most vital and renewable natural resources, playing a key role in sustaining domestic, agricultural, and industrial activities, particularly in semi-arid regions like Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar tehsil in Maharashtra. The growing population, rising water demand, and irregular rainfall patterns have resulted in a pressing need to locate potential groundwater zones for sustainable water management. This research employs Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques to …

Seasonal Dynamics of Coastal Landscapes: A Critical Review Using Remote Sensing and GIS
Abstract: Coastal landscapes are among the most dynamic environments on Earth, undergoing continuous transformation due to both natural processes and anthropogenic activities. In India, particularly along the southern coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, shoreline morphology and sediment transport patterns are significantly influenced by seasonal monsoons, cyclones, storm surges, waves, tides, and changing river discharges. These factors contribute to varying rates of coastal erosion, accretion, inundation, and land- …
