Rheological Studies of a Cross-Linked Polymer Gel System
Abstract: The petroleum accumulations are found associated with water and it is rarely obtained without accompanying water production. Water production is a major technical, environmental, and economic challenge associated with oil and gas extraction. Rheological findings are of fundamental importance for the development, manufacture and processing of innumerable products. Polymeric gels exhibit a wide range of rheological properties and they are stable both mechanically and thermally in most cases thus are …

The Utilization of Oil Entrapped Floating Alginate Beads in a Gastroretentive Delivery System is Intended to Improve the Bioavailbility of Telmisartan Incorporating Principles of Bioinformatics
Abstract: Oil entrapped floating calcium alginate beads of Telmisartan were successfully prepared using sodium alginate as polymer and two different oil phases of mineral oil and olive oil by emulsion gelation method. The FT-IR spectra of final optimized formulation confirms no drug- polymer incompatibility. The floating time of beads was found to be more than 12 hrs suggesting that the method used for prepration was effective. The floating time of optimized …

pH-Triggered In-Situ Nasal Gel Systems for Migraine Therapy: A Review
Abstract: Intranasal drug delivery has gained considerable attention as a non-invasive route for delivering drugs to both systemic circulation and the central nervous system, particularly for the treatment of migraine. Traditional nasal formulations such as sprays and drops often show poor therapeutic performance due to rapid mucociliary clearance and limited retention within the nasal cavity. To overcome these challenges, in-situ gel systems have been designed, which transform from a liquid to …

Development and Assessment of Levetiracetam Microspheres Utilizing Synthetic and Natural Polymers: A Biomedical Engineering Perspective
Abstract: In the present study, comparative study of Levetiracetam loaded microspheres using Ethyl cellulose as synthetic and Sodium alginate as natural polymers was done. Solvent evaporation and ionic gelation technique has been successfully employed to produce Levetiracetam loaded ethyl cellulose and sodium alginate microspheres with optimal drug encapsulation that sustained the drug release over a period of time. Based on the pre-formulation studies E1 to E4 and S1 to S4 batches …

Microsphere and Nanoparticle Drug Delivery Systems: Role of Polymers in Pharmacology
Abstract: Microsphere and nanoscale drug delivery methods have changed the field of pharmacology by making treatment agents more bioavailable, more targeted, and easier to manage. These delivery systems, which are mostly made up of polymers, look like a good way to get around the problems that traditional drug formulations have, like not dissolving well, clearing quickly, and spreading in different places. Plastics are very important in the creation of these improved …

Electroplating and Corrosion Properties of Binary and Ternary Zinc Alloys with Nickel, Cobalt and Iron
Abstract: The anti-corrosive three binary (Zn-Ni, Zn-Co, Zn-Fe) and two ternary (Zn-Ni-Co, Zn-Co-Fe) alloy coating films on mild steel from acid chloride bath using sulphanilic acid and gelatin as additives for the electroplating technique. The normal Hull cell method was used to optimize the bath compositions, temperature and pH of the bath solutions for coating performance against corrosion. The cause of current density (CD) on metal weight percentage (M = Ni, …
