A Hexagonal Sierpinski Gasket Antenna with a Microstrip Feed Line and a Stub for UWB Applications
Abstract: In this paper a Sierpinski gasket hexagonal antenna is proposed with a feed line having a stub attached to it. Three iterations of the proposed antenna geometry were done and with this improved feeding technique for four resonant bands of operation from 2.86 to 3.3 GHz, 3.758–4.313 GHz, 7.514–8.5468 GHz and 12.352–10.976 GHz were obtained. The antenna is suitable for ultra wideband (UWB) and radiolocation applications. The proposed antenna was …

A New Multiband Square Patch Antenna with Sierpinski Gasket Slot and Fractal Koch Loop at Ground
Abstract: This paper presents a multiband square patch antenna with Sierpinski gasket slot on top surface of substrate and fractal Koch loop at ground. This antenna has been designed to operate at 0 to 3 GHz frequency range and operates at five different resonant frequencies. The Koch loop at ground surface provides irregularities in current distribution; this affects the radiation property of the antenna.

Two-dimensional Finite Element Analysis of Bolted Flanged Joints
Abstract: A 2D axisymmetric finite element analysis of flanges has been carried out using ANSYS 7.1 version. The analysis consider gasket as a rigid material for contact analysis and the others where the gasket has been considered as a gasket element. The non-linear behaviour with two unloading curves was used to predict the non-linear behaviour. This paper attempts to study and compare the contact pressure, gap, gasket stress and gasket total …
