Evaluating Web Content and Design Trends: A Comprehensive Study of Forest Institute Library Websites of ICFRE
Abstract: This study evaluates the website content and design features of forest institute libraries under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE). A comprehensive checklist comprising eight categories and 60 parameters was developed to assess nine regional forest institute websites systematically. The findings reveal that all websites (100%) feature visible and contrasted colour schemes with clear and easily readable text. Moreover, every institute’s website includes webmail functionality, copyright information, …

Machine Learning Based Early Cataract Detection: A Predictive Modeling Approach
Abstract: Cataracts, characterized by dense cloudy areas in the eye’s lens, afflict more than 50% of elderly individuals, leading to impaired vision and potential blindness. Detecting cataracts at an early stage is crucial to facilitate simpler treatments, as neglecting the condition may necessitate complex eye surgery. To address this issue, we are creating a predictive system that identifies cataract disease by analyzing user-provided eye features. To achieve this, we leverage OpenCV, …

Improving Dataset Integrity Through Automated Data Cleaning Techniques
Abstract: High-quality data is a fundamental requirement in data science for producing trustworthy analytical insights and effective machine learning models. Problems, including incomplete records, inconsistent entries, duplicate observations, and anomalous values, can severely reduce the accuracy and robustness of predictive systems. As modern datasets continue to expand in both volume and structural complexity, relying on manual data cleaning methods become time-consuming and error-prone, highlighting the growing importance of automated data preprocessing …

Predicting Dielectric Constants of Polymers Using Molecular Structural Descriptors and Explainable Machine Learning: A Data-Driven Approach
Abstract: Accurate prediction of dielectric constants in polymeric materials is fundamental to the rational design of advanced electronic components, energy storage capacitors, flexible substrates, and high-frequency communication circuits. Conventional approaches to identifying suitable polymer dielectrics rely on extensive experimental synthesis and characterisation, which are both time-consuming and resource-intensive. In this work, an explainable machine learning framework is developed to predict the dielectric constant of polymers directly from molecular structural descriptors derived …
