An Analysis of Graph Database in Data Modelling and Analysis for a Recommendation System
Abstract: This research work focuses on graph databases, mainly Neo4j databases, in recommendation systems for e-commerce websites. The importance of research is that it explains how graph databases efficiently handle the complex relationship between user-items, which is difficult for traditional databases. Sparsity, limited diversity, and high setup costs are the challenges traditional databases face. This research work overcomes these problems using Ne04j with Cypher query language and graph algorithms (PageRank, Shortest …

Comparison and Analysis of Facial Emotion Detection Using Various Deep Learning Neural Networks
Abstract: Facial emotion recognition employs Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Residual Networks (ResNet), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, and Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) to automatically identify various emotions, including disgust, anger, fear, happiness, sadness, surprise, and neutrality. This study utilizes transfer learning along with data preprocessing techniques such as rotation, flipping, brightness adjustment, and enhancement methods. Traditional machine learning models achieve an accuracy range of 45 to 50%. In contrast, our proposed …

MAC Unit Implementation on FPGA
Abstract: Multiply–accumulate (MAC) computations account for a large part of machine learning accelerator operations. The pipelined structure is usually adopted to improve the performance by reducing the length of critical paths. An increase in the number of flip-flops due to pipelining, however, generally results in significant area and power increase. Using this method, we create and build a cutset-free feedforward MAC architecture that maximizes data propagation and removes superfluous pipeline registers. …

U-Net Based Approach for Automated Brain Tumor Classification
Abstract: Brain tumor detection and identification play vital roles in diagnostic procedures in the field of medicine, with the conventional analysis of MRI images requiring a lot of time and also subject to variability. The proposed study involves the use of a CNN-U-Net based approach for brain tumor detection and identification automatically. The study uses a database of 3,064 contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MRI images from 233 patients with the tumors of meningioma, …

Design and Implementation of a 4-Bit Breadboard CPU Using Digital Integrated Circuits
Abstract: This paper presents the design and hardware realization of a simple 4-bit CPU built using discrete TTL integrated circuits on a breadboard. The CPU employs a 4-bit common data bus with tri-state buffers for device arbitration, three 4-bit registers (Register A, Register B, and an Output Register) implemented with 74LS175 quad D flip-flops, and a 4-bit ALU for addition/subtraction using a 74LS83 adder and XOR gates. Manual control signals (load, …
