Surface Modification by Electro-discharge Coating and Its Characterisation
Abstract: Applications of coated surface are swiftly increasing in present industrial context. Recently, the electro-discharge route is being explored for surface modification in terms of alloying and layer deposition. Electro-discharge machining parameters and response to surface deposition is of the research interest in electro-discharge coating. In this regard, electro-discharged surface modifications have been characterized in the present investigations. The effect of relevant EDM parameters (current, Pulse duration, duty factor, density of …

Multiphysics Optimization of Polymer–Metal Hybrid Electrode Geometry in Electrostatic Precipitators for Enhanced Particle Collection Efficiency
Abstract: Electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) remain one of the most effective technologies for controlling fine particulate emissions in industrial exhaust systems. However, their performance is strongly influenced by electrode geometry and material characteristics, which govern electric field distribution, corona stability, and particle migration behaviour. In this study, a comprehensive numerical investigation is carried out to optimize electrode geometry using a multiphysics modelling framework, while introducing a novel polymer–metal hybrid design to enhance …

Influence of Photoelectrons on Spacecraft Charging for Artificial Orbiting Spacecraft
Abstract: For the purpose of evaluating the temporal body potential and capacitance of an artificial orbiting spacecraft, this research analyzes the impact of photoelectrons on spacecraft charging. A metallic rectangular cuboid and two coplanar metallic rectangular plates compose the spacecraft model. The Runge-Kutta method is used to calculate the body potential, and the method of moments is used to calculate the capacitance. Depending on the spacecraft's inclination angle, solar energy from …

Minimization of Effluent Produced by Electrical Industry
Abstract: There are two fundamental reasons of effluent viz. prevention pollution and thereby protecting the environmental and protecting the public health by safe guarding waste supplies and preventing the spread of water borne diseases. When untreated industrial waste water is discharge it will contaminate the natural water body i.e., river, lake with hazardous chemicals. It is absolutely necessary to study the characteristic of industrial waste water, to ensure its safe disposal. …

Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Cast iron due to Bio-organism
Abstract: Cast iron is a high tensile strength metal. It is generally used for making tools, pipe fitting, electrical fitting equipment and rail track. It interacts with corrosive substances to develop electrochemical cell on their interface. Corrosive substances are acids, bases, salts, bio-wastes, particulates and pollutants. These substances produce hostile medium for materials. These harmful wastes discharge by industries, households, agricultural, urbanization, development of infrastructure, construction works, thermal power stations, hydropower, …
