Singularity Elimination in Current Distribution of a Dipole Antenna in Method of Moment (MOM)
Abstract: In this paper, the singularity subtraction technique for method of moments applying for a dipole antenna is explained. In the calculation of the current distribution waveform for the dipole antenna using method of moment from the Pocklingtons' Integral Equation has faced many logarithmic singularity terms. To avoid the singularities in this paper, we modify the Greens' function which is a major portion of the Pocklington's Integral Equation. The Pulse function …

A Dipole Circular Patch Antenna for Operation in the X-Band
Abstract: This microwave engineering research paper proposes, designs, calculates, and simulates a novel dipole circular patch antenna for theoretical wideband operations in the X-band (the 8 GHz to 12 GHz frequency range). This proposed microstrip patch antenna was realized using FR-4 as a dielectric (a thickness of 1.5 mm) with copper being used in both the ground plate and the two transmitting circular elements (the so-called patches with a thickness of …

Improved Microstrip Dipole Antenna for Rfid Technology by using Metamaterials
Abstract: This paper explores an innovative way of designing antennas through metamaterial integration and the miniaturization process. In order to boost frequency usability and reduce the antenna size, we propose a new solution. The interaction between the two divided ring resonators with this resonant component is based on this technique. In this experiment, the parameters considered include the resonant frequency, the lack of response, and the wavelength, the amount of radiation, …

Design and Performance Analysis of a Log Periodic Dipole Antenna with a Frequency Range of 1350 to 2690 MHz
Abstract: The introduction of broadband systems to communication and non-communication technologies has demanded the design of broadband antennas. RF antennas have relatively small bandwidth and poor directivity while the log periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) provides better directivity and gain with wide bandwidth. For a communication link and data transmission at higher rates, wider bandwidth is required with high gain and directivity. This necessitates designing a wideband antenna. In this paper, a …

Review on Photoconductive Antenna Design from Conventional to Microstructures
Abstract: Semiconductors possess many diverse phenomena under terahertz-frequency electromagnetic radiation (THz). This is due to the fact that the energy of THz photons is at quite large scales in case of bulk and low-dimensional materials and devices. With regard to broadband THz sources, various inorganic crystals such as ZnTe/GaP/GaAs/GaSe/DAST/LiNbO3 have been used which are pumped by femtosecond laser pulses. These pulses are combined with field-resolved detection through electro-optic sampling using similar …

Microstrip Planar Broadband Yagi-Uda Antenna for X-Band Communication
Abstract: In this paper, a planar Yagi-Uda antenna based on classic Yagi-Uda dipole antenna is accessible which is very useful for microwave wireless applications. This antenna provides relatively high gain and more directive radiation pattern at X frequency band with proper impedance matching. This antenna has been developed at supporting dielectric constant of 4.4, supported substrate thickness of 1.6 mm and loss tangent of 0.02. The proposed antenna is completely compatible …
