Synthesis of Novel Series of Coumarin Derivatives
Abstract: In a synthetic method similar to Knoevenagel reaction, 3-acetyl coumarin was prepared in the same way through a cyclization condensation reaction betweensalicylaldehyde and ethyl acetoacetate under basic condition using piperidine. Preparation and Characterization of Some of Formazan Derivatives
Abstract: Some formazan derivatives were prepared through reaction of benzaldehyde-phenylhydrazone with selected diazonium salts in alkaline medium in very good yields. The hydrazone were prepared by reaction of phenylhydrazine with benzaldehyde in slightly acidic medium. The structure of the formazan derivatives were fully established by physical and spectral methods. Synthesis, Characterization of New Imidazolidin-4-One Containing Azo Compound Derived from Acetylacetone as Antibacterial and Antioxidant Agents
Abstract: In the present study, new derivatives of imidazolidine-4-one was prepared. Which involved reactions to diazonium salt of o-methoxy aniline with acetylacetone in the presence of sodium hydroxide, and isolating the azo compound as a brown precipitate.
