Analytical Determination of Strength of Demolished Recycled Coarse Aggregate
Abstract: Construction work has increased rapidly from the past two decades. With these construction activities going up, we find lacking of the construction materials, particularly aggregates. So, finding an alternate resource and their feasibility; study is the need of our project. Recycled or used aggregate proves to be a good alternative here. Therefore, the investigation was carried out using compressive strength test, confined to the objective we have tested and empirically …

Experimental Research on the Strength Properties of Concrete with Recycled Aggregate, Pond Ash, and Rubber Powder Replaced in Part for Concrete Materials in Standard Grades
Abstract: Concrete, a fundamental material in modern construction, poses environmental concerns due to its significant carbon footprint. To mitigate this impact, researchers explore alternative materials like fly ash, GGBS, alcofine, and rubber powder as cement replacements. This study examines the durability and strength of concrete that contains recycled aggregate, pond ash, and waste rubber powder. Waste rubber, abundant from industrial and automotive sources, poses disposal challenges. Pond ash, a byproduct of …

Green Concrete Using Fly Ash and Silica Fume
Abstract: Recycled coarse aggregate can also be used by partially replacing natural concrete aggregates, so that construction and demolition waste can be further used for aggregates in new construction. Recycled coarse aggregate includes brick, tile aggregates, crushed stone aggregates, glass aggregates, and demolished aggregates. In this paper, different recycled aggregates are used by 40 and 60% replacement with natural aggregates of size 20 mm. Granite stone, brickstone, concrete debris are used …

Strength Based Comparative Study of Green Concrete
Abstract: Green concrete may be a revolutionary topic within the history of concrete trade. It is a kind of concrete that resembles the standard concrete however, the assembly or usage of such concrete needs minimum quantity of energy and causes least damage to atmosphere. Recycled coarse mixture may be employed by partly substitution natural concrete aggregates, so construction and demolition waste may be more used for aggregates in new construction. Recycled …

Eco-Friendly Concrete: A Review
Abstract: In the last decades, the use of residue in civil construction, especially in addition to concrete has been studied by many researches related to, besides to reduce the environmental polluter’s factors. This may lead several improvements of the concrete properties. In recent years increasing attention towards utilizing less energy intensive materials, such as fly ash, rice-husk ash, condensed silica fume and slag, in combination with cement to achieve energy saving. …

Influence of Recycled Coarse Aggregate on Properties of Concrete
Abstract: This study focuses on the influence of recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) on properties of concrete. Five different mixtures of RCA replacement comprising 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% RCA were used. It was found that workability, saturated bulk density, compressive strength and flexural strength decreases with increase in RCA content in concrete. 100% manually RCA concrete passed the 17 kN/m2 compressive strength limit generally acceptable for concrete work of non-high …

Effect of Polymer Fiber on Concrete Made with Artificial Fine Aggregate from Demolished Buildings
Abstract: This research describes an experimental investigation that assesses the impact of polymer fiber and artificial fine aggregate on concrete properties. Polymer fiber, on the other hand, has the potential to function as a superplasticizer additive, which might lead to concrete's superior elasticity, higher strength, and reduced rate of water absorption. Thus, an experimental inquiry was conducted to ascertain the ideal admixture dose and investigate the consequences of admixture overdosage. Also, …

Properties and Characteristics of Lean Concrete Made with Recycled Coarse Aggregate and Fly Ash
Abstract: Qualitative aggregates have become scarce and expensive in various places in India, due to rapid enhancement in infrastructure activities essential for the development of new construction facilities. The use of waste materials in construction appears to be an attractive proposition because of their low cost, environmental considerations and depleting source of quality aggregates, if good performance can be ensured through appropriate technology. The problem of disposal of waste generated from …
