Analysis and Design of Modern Parking Structure by Considering Optimised Bracing Systems Under the Dynamic Load
Abstract: The design and implementation of effective bracing systems are crucial for ensuring the structural stability and safety of G+10 parking buildings, particularly in regions prone to seismic and wind loads. This study evaluates and optimizes various bracing systems, including X-type, V-type, Inverted V-type, and Eccentric bracing, to determine their suitability for use in G+10 parking structures in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar City area. The research focuses on assessing each bracing system's …

Review on Comparative Analysis of Lateral Load Response of UG+G+7 Building Using Shear Wall, Bracing and Moment Resisting Frame Systems
Abstract: This review paper provides a relative analysis of lateral load-resisting systems in multi-storey buildings, specifically focusing on high-rise structural configuration. The study synthesizes findings from research Papers to evaluate the performance of shear wall systems, bracing systems, and moment-resisting frame systems under seismic and wind loading conditions. With the rising requirement for safe and efficient urban structures, understanding the behavior of different structural systems under lateral loads has become essential. The …

Evaluation of Shear Walls and Bracings in Irregular Buildings Under Seismic Load
Abstract: The structural integrity and stability of irregular buildings under lateral forces such as wind and seismic loads pose significant challenges in modern construction practices. Irregularities in a building & geometry and mass distribution can lead to uneven force distribution, making the structure more vulnerable to lateral displacement and potential failure. To enhance the resilience of such structures, shear walls and bracing systems are commonly employed to improve lateral load resistance. …

Study of Behavior of Buckling Restrained Bearing Frame Along with Soil Structure Interaction
Abstract: Lateral forces due to earthquake are the major consideration for design of earthquake resisting structures, these forces can be resisted by various systems like braced frames, shear walls, moment frames, etc. Energy dissipation is one of the most convenient option for earthquake resistance, as it can absorb input energy from earthquake protecting the main structure. Past research revealed that the Buckling Restrained Braces (BRB) are the best type of energy …

Prediction of Depth-Induced Stress Distribution and Maintenance Cost Implications for Submerged Structural Components
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of water depth on stress distribution and structural integrity of submerged mechanical components . Structural models fabricated from mild steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper alloy were examined under hydrostatic loading corresponding to water depths between 30 cm and 150 cm. Results indicate that normal and shear stresses increased proportionally with depth due to intensified hydrostatic pressure. Mild steel exhibited the highest stress concentrations, …

Comparative Analysis of using Rubber isolator and Friction isolator in G+8 Building by SAP 2000
Abstract: Base isolation technique has become most popular that improves resistant quality during a seismic earthquake. These bases seclude moves under high pressure and they soak up an earth tremor smash by minimizing oscillating and trembling of ground. Adaptive base solitude system includes the separation system is Lead Rubber Bearing, Friction Isolators, channel Method, Laminated Rubber Bearing. Base separation is the broadly accepted seismic protected skeleton employed in any edifice in …

Static and Dynamic Analysis of Conventional, Diagrid and Hexagrid Systems Across Different Storey Heights
Abstract: In structural engineering, multi-storey buildings’ seismic resilience in earthquake-prone areas is crucial. The seismic performance of proposed multi-story buildings with different heights (G+13, G+19, and G+27) is thoroughly examined in this study using traditional structural systems that are octagrid and hexagrid. Under seismic zone III conditions, the study evaluates important parameters such as storey drifts and storey displacements using the Response Spectrum Method. Each structural system's seismic response is assessed …

Elections, Governance, And Democracy in Nigeria
Abstract: This paper investigated elections, governance, and democracy in Nigeria. Since independence in 1960, the State has continued to make significant progress towards democratization. Elections, which have served as a vehicle for conveying the interest of the people have been marred by irregularities, such as; voter intimidation, violence, and other allegations of fraud. These issues significantly undermine public trust in the electoral process, ruining its credibility and weakening the structures that …

Study on the Response of Strengthening Strategies for Masonry-infilled Open Ground Storey Framed Building
Abstract: The strengthening of reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings with masonry infill wall and with open ground storey is a very timely and significant topic because of the poor performance against seismic action. The absence of infill walls in the ground storey makes the ground storey less stiff and weaker than the all upper storys which results in a poor performance against lateral loads. Soft storey mechanism prevails in these cases …
