Cohesive Energy of Chalcogenide and Pnictide Based Ternary Tetrahedral Semiconductors
Abstract: There is a great amount of interest in tertiary chalcopyrite semiconductors because of the potential uses they have in the field of optoelectronics. These applications include solar energy converters, detectors, light emitting diodes (LED), and non-linear optical devices (NLO). There are variety of ZnS Zinc blende types of superstructures in which one of the types is called chalcopyrite semiconductor. This study is based on the characteristics of the chalcopyrite semiconductor. …

Influence of Gd Doping in Structural, Morphological and Optical Properties of Zno Nanostructures Synthesised Via Sol-Gel Processes
Abstract: In this study, nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdx (x=0.0 and 0.03) samples were synthesised via the Sol-gel combustion process. An array of analytical techniques was employed to examine the prepared samples to determine their different physical features. For both pristine and Gd-doped samples, the crystal symmetry is hexagonal with the P63mc space group which is verified via the Rietveld refinement analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The atoms' bond length Zn-O and bond …

Configuration and Properties of Group III Elements in the Periodic Table
Abstract: Group III elements comprise those found in the third column of the periodic table, including boron, aluminum, gallium, indium, and thallium. These elements possess three valence electrons in their outermost shell, characterized by the electron configuration ns2np1, which influences their location and characteristics within the periodic table. The distribution of electron pairs, formal charges, oxidation states, and molecular morphologies of Group III elements and their compounds are illustrated in this …

Effect of Thermal Conditions on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AA5083 Processed by Equal Channel Angular Pressing
Abstract: A commercial AA5083 with an initial grain size of 210 μm was given an ultrafine-grained structure using the equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) technique under die design as patented. The identical sample underwent two successful passes through the die at 473 K, with each passage causing the sample to rotate 90° along its own longitudinal axis. After just one pressing, the microstructure was comparatively homogeneous. It was made up of …

Effect of Steam Flash Explosion Conditions on Preparation of Reed Pulp
Abstract: The effects of different steam explosion conditions on preparation of reed pulp by steam flash explosion were analyzed. Because the main factors affecting steam explosion are steam pressure, retention time and liquid-to-reed ratio, so that the effects of these conditions on the steam explosion pretreated reed straw, and constituent of reed pulp were analyzed. Reed straw samples, 2~3cm in length, were loaded into a 5L stainless steel reactor and treated …

Weldability of Aluminum Alloy Using Pulsed current Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Process forMechanical Properties: A Review
Abstract: In the TIG welding, also known as gas tungsten arc welding, metal components are bonded by applying heat or pressure. Inert gas is used in pulsed current welding to encapsulate the electrodes and weld pools. Tungsten inert gas is used in the complex welding process known as TIG welding. It alternates between amps operating at high and low levels. Here, increasing the current results in improved power production and weld …
