Preparation of Phase – Pure Nanocrystalline Anatase and Rutile TiO2 using Hydrolysis of TiCl4 in presence of surfactants
Abstract: Hydrolysis of TiCl4 was carried out in two different ways to prepare nano crystalline TiO2. In the first method the hydrolysis of TiCl4 was carried under high acidic conditions at low temperature. In the second method hydrolysis was carried out using (NH4)2SO4 as an additive. It can be seen that the hydrolysis of TiCl4 under high acidic conditions promotes the growth of rutile phase of TiO2, where as hydrolysis in …

Study on Photocatalytic Cement Concrete for the Degradation of Textile Dyes
Abstract: This process is developed in the way that low level usage of chemical such as Titanium-di-oxide and urea along with the cement concrete structure for the photocatalytic activity under sunlight. When the cement concrete structure is introduced the sustainability of the process is increased so the efficient use of the reactant is achieved. From this study we obtained that the photocatalytic way of separation of waste ions can increase the …

Synthesis and Characterization of TiO2 1% SiO2 of Crystal and its Bacterial Applications
Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) TiO2 Anatase and Rutile structures have attracted much attention due to their optical properties. However, the large band gap of (3.2 eV) results in the fact that anatase TiO2 can act as photo catalyst and be excited by UV light, which only accounts for 3–5% of the solar energy. On considering that nobel metallatic nanomaterials can harvest visible light, in this paper, TiO2 and SiO2 nanocrystals with rod …

Amendment of the Structural and Optical Properties of Solution Route Processed TiO2 Nanoparticles by Rare-Earth Europium
Abstract: Titanium oxide (TiO2) doped with Rare-earth europium (Eu) were synthesized using sol-gel technique with subsequent annealing at 300° C. The crystallite structure and phase determination was done using XRD technique. XRD technique revealed that undoped TiO2 exhibit mixed rutile and anatase phase, whereas the TiO2:Eu sample exhibit single anatase phase. SEM results revealed that the particles are spherical shaped with approximate size ~ 15 nm. Room temperature, UV measurements shows …

Analyses of minerals and elemental oxides in rocks from Waltadi district, Song, Adamawa state Nigeria
Abstract: Rock samples from six locations namely: Wataldi, Teuta, Kubta, Gumta, Dumneza and Wazo, within Waltadi district of Song Local government, Adamawa State, Nigeria, were studied qualitatively and quantitatively using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) respectively. Results obtained showed the presence of minerals including: Quartz, albite, rutile, sylvine, barite, chalcopyrite, kaonilite, anatase, stolzite, marshitecovellite and fluorannite. The major elemental oxides obtained includes: silicon oxide (SiO2), aluminium oxide …
