Quartz Crystal for Thin Film Thickness Measurement using Embedded Software (PSoC)
Abstract: Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) based embedded read-out design for Quartz crystal which measures thickness of a thin film during deposition has been describe in this paper. Excited quartz sensor to its resonance frequency of 5 MHz, kept nearby the substrate measures the deposited film thickness by monitoring change in quartz resonance frequency. The change in the quartz crystal resonance frequency due to deposition decreases linearly with thickness. The change …

Arduino Based Motor Control Using LabVIEW
Abstract: AbstractSpeed of a DC motor varies proportional to the input voltage. With a fixed supply voltage, the speed of the motor can be changed by switching the supply on and off so frequently that the motor notices only the average voltage effect and not the switching operation. This project focuses on controlling the speed of a DC motor using PWM technique. The project basically consists of Arduino and motor driver, …

Pseudo Random Encoders Simulation and Implementation
Abstract: This article discusses pseudo-random position encoders and their basic built-in parts, but pays special attention to a new approach in their development. A new, more flexible method for improving and testing proposed pseudo-random encoders, based on virtual instrumentation. In particular, the problems of generating pseudo-random strings and converting pseudo-random code to natural code are discussed, implemented, and tested using the LabVIEW software package. The goal of this study is to …
