Abstract: Anthrax toxin is a three-protein exotoxin that is secreted by the bacterium's virulent strains, the anthrax causative agent Bacillus anthracis. Harry Smith first found the toxin in 1954. Anthrax toxin consists of a protein called a protective antigen (PA) binding cell protein and two enzyme parts called an edema factor (EF) and a deadly factor (LF). These three protein components act together to impart their physiological effects. Assembled complexes containing …

Abstract: In this study, nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdx (x=0.0 and 0.03) samples were synthesised via the Sol-gel combustion process. An array of analytical techniques was employed to examine the prepared samples to determine their different physical features. For both pristine and Gd-doped samples, the crystal symmetry is hexagonal with the P63mc space group which is verified via the Rietveld refinement analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The atoms' bond length Zn-O and bond …

Vibration control of a Plan irregular RC framed structure under seismic excitations with the help of TMD along with bracings
Abstract: The study of dynamic behavior of high-rise structures is immensely important as the dynamic response of the structures due to natural forces like seismic forces, wind forces etc. may result in structural failure. An unsymmetrically located shear wall or similar kind of stiff element may cause the structure to have plan irregularity. Such type of plan irregularity in high rise structure can induce the torsional displacements in the structure subjected …

In this present study, a G+20 storey RCC building having vertical setback irregularity above tenth storey is considered. Due to such irregular configuration building becomes more vulnerable to seismic vibration. To control these vibration stiffeners are used at suitable positions, by going through trial and error method. The parameters considered for comparison are fundamental time period, storey displacement and …
