Opinions mining of Twitter events using spatial-temporal features
Abstract: Micro-blogs are a powerful tool to express an opinion. Twitter is one of the fastest growing micro-blog and has more than 900 million users. Twitter is a rich source of opinion as users share their daily experience of life and respond to specific events using tweets on twitter. In this paper, an automatic opinion classifier capable of automatically classify tweets into different opinion expressed by them is developed. Also manually …

Hybrid approach for emotion detection in text using spatial-temporal features
Abstract: In recent years, the incredible exploratory growth of online data in social media mainly Twitter has to lead to growing attention of researchers towards Affective analysis of social media streams. Around 500 million tweets are generated per day all around the globe. Classification of these tweets into different affective classes is an arduous task. We propose a novel approach of classifying a tweet into Ekman’s six basic emotion classes using …

A New Evaluation Index for Application of Machine Learning Algorithms to Determine Trust in Skewed Social Media Data
Abstract: In this paper we study the problem of accuracy paradox which arises on the application of machine learning algorithms for inference of trust in skewed social media data. Skewness is defined as the under representation of one class over another in a binary classification problem. We achieved our purpose of identifying the accuracy paradox problem in various algorithms by identifying a new evaluation index called predictive index. The dataset used …

Evaluating Web Content and Design Trends: A Comprehensive Study of Forest Institute Library Websites of ICFRE
Abstract: This study evaluates the website content and design features of forest institute libraries under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE). A comprehensive checklist comprising eight categories and 60 parameters was developed to assess nine regional forest institute websites systematically. The findings reveal that all websites (100%) feature visible and contrasted colour schemes with clear and easily readable text. Moreover, every institute’s website includes webmail functionality, copyright information, …

Topic Detection in Tweets using Hashtags
Abstract: Data clustering is a common technique used for topic detection and identification in text. In this paper we propose tokenizing of hashtags as an effective and efficient way of generating bags of words for tweets (text messages on Twitter). The document- term matrix generated using these terms is smaller and more relevant compared to the full text tokenization. Tweets from the 2018 Oscars event tagged with #oscars hashtag were collected …

Various Techniques of Sentiment Analysis on Twitter Data Set: A Survey
Abstract: AbstractSentiment analysis is the process of computationally identifying and categorizing opinions expressed in a piece of text, especially in order to determine whether the writer's attitude towards a particular topic, product, etc. is positive, negative, or neutral. Sentiment analysis could be a variety of data processing that measures the inclination of people’s opinions through natural language processing (NLP), linguistics and text analysis, that square measure want to extract and analyze …
