Partial Characterization of Crude Lipase from Mutant Soil Fungal Isolate
Abstract: Lipases are cluster of enzymes which cleaves oils and fats. Characterization properties oflipases have been studied in the present investigation because they play an imperative role inseveral industrial applications. The present lipase obtained from soil fungal strain named asEMS5%-60min exhibited optimum activity at pH 7.0 (24.90±0.25 IU/ml/min) and 37ºC (20.28±0.51IU/ml/min). In pH stability profile, the enzyme was found stable in alkaline pH range withhighest activity (13.08±0.07 IU/ml/min) at pH 9.0. …

Parametric optimization of COF of fabricated AA6082/Si3N4/C/Al2O3 composite
Abstract: In the present experimental investigation AA6082/Si3N4/C/Al2O3 composite was successfully fabri-cated using stir casting technique combined with electromagnetic stirrer for wear resistance applica-tions. The produced AA6082/Si3N4/C/Al2O3 composite exhibits improved tribological and me-chanical and properties, according to the experimental results. The generated composite has a micro-hardness range of 60 to 110 HV and an average UTS of 150 to 200 MPa. The tribological perfor-mance was evaluated using a pin on disc tribometer. …

Mineralization of Phenanthrene by Paenibacillus sp. PRNK-6: Effect of Synthetic Surfactants on its Mineralization
Abstract: Paenibacillus sp. PRNK-6 isolated from a soil contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) was able to utilize 69.48% of phenanthrene (320 mg l-1) in 48 h. The effect of three synthetic surfactants namely, the nonionic surfactant Tween-80, the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and the cationic surfactant cetyltrymethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) on the phenanthrene mineralization by Paenibacillus sp. PRNK-6 was studied. Results showed that the effect of each surfactant …

Screening of Cold-Active Lipase from Psychotropic Fungi
Abstract: Lipase is a class of enzymes that catalyze as, hydrolysis of long-chain tri-glycoside and comprise the large significant group of bio-catalysts for biotechnological applications. Currently, the cold-active lipases (CLPS) are the enzyme of choice for pharmacists, organic chemists, biochemical, biophysicists and engineering processes, bio-technologists and micro-biologists as well as biochemists. The production of CLPs is mostly existed from psychrophilic microorganisms. Psychrophiles and psychrotrophs extracellular colds-active enzymes at low temperature (cold) …
