Polymer-Based Transparent Conductive Composites for Flexible Solar Panel Coatings
Abstract: This study investigates the fabrication and characterization of polymer-based transparent conductive composites (PTCCs) tailored for flexible solar panel coatings using poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) matrices reinforced with silver nanowires (AgNWs), multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and PEDOT:PSS. The composites were synthesized through a solution blending and doctor-blade casting method followed by post-treatments to enhance interfacial bonding and conductivity. Optical transmittance values above 85% were achieved across all composite …

Polymer-Nanowire Hybrid Composites Based on PEDOT: PSS and AgNWs for High-Performance Conductive Films in Flexible Devices
Abstract: The growing demand for flexible photovoltaic and wearable optoelectronic devices has intensified research into polymer-based conductive composites that provide transparency, flexibility, and electrical efficiency. In this work, we report the fabrication and characterization of a hybrid polymer nanocomposite electrode comprising silver nanowires (AgNWs) embedded within a PEDOT:PSS matrix, deposited on flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates. The PEDOT:PSS polymer phase, modified with 5 vol% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and 0.1 vol% Zonyl …

IoT-Connected Transparent Conductive Polymer–Silver Nano-wire Electrodes for Real-Time Performance Monitoring of Flexible Solar Panels
Abstract: Flexible photovoltaic technologies have emerged as promising energy harvesting solutions for wearable electronics, portable power systems, and Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled smart devices. However, the limited mechanical durability of conventional transparent conductive electrodes and the lack of integrated real-time monitoring restrict their long-term reliability. This study presents an IoT-connected transparent conductive polymer–silver nanowire (PEDOT:PSS–AgNW) hybrid electrode for flexible solar panels, combining high optoelectronic performance with continuous wireless performance monitoring. The …

Explainable Machine Learning for Process Parameter Optimization in Gradient 3D-Printed Polymer Composites
Abstract: The explainable machine learning-based structure may be employed to achieve a favorable process parameter of the graduate 3D-printed polymer composite structures to improve the mechanical and thermal properties without compromising the transparency of the decisions made during the fabrication process. Gradient composite specimens were made by systematically varied process parameters like nozzle temperature, raster orientation, deposition speed, gradient transition rate and fused filament fabrication. A predictive model of tensile strength …

Polymer Electrolyte Films Doped with Nanofillers ZnO: Electrochemical and Optical Investigations
Abstract: The electrochemical and optical characteristics of polymer composite electrolyte films doped with zinc oxide (ZnO) nanofillers are thoroughly examined in this work. Because of its superior film-forming capacity, flexibility, and ionic transport properties, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) mixed with potassium iodide (KI) is used as the host polymer electrolyte. To investigate their effects on ionic conductivity, dielectric behavior, and optical transmission, ZnO nanoparticles are synthesized and added to the PVA–KI matrix …

Implement Explainable Machine Learning to Improve Conductivity in Polymer-CNT Nanocomposites: Supporting Adaptive, Flexible, and Long-Lasting IoT Wrap-Around Electronics Applications
Abstract: The rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies requires electronic components that are adaptable, lightweight, and durable, and that can continue to function well in diverse contexts and circumstances. Polymer–carbon nanotube (CNT) nanocomposites have become interesting choices for these kinds of uses because they are more flexible, conduct electricity better, and can be made to fit specific needs. However, improving conductivity in these heterogeneous systems remains a major challenge …

Performance and Exergy Loss Analysis for a Single Slope Solar Still Using PMMA
Abstract: A solar still constructed using polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) represents an improved approach to solar desalination, in which conventional materials such as metal or concrete are substituted or reinforced with PMMA- based composites PMMA sheets are often used as the transparent glazing cover of the solar still instead of glass. It allows maximum solar radiation to pass into the basin, heating the saline/brackish water effectively. A tubular solar still made from …

Analysis of Fibre Reinforced Beams
Abstract: There has been research into the flexural behaviour of composite beams with a variety of fibre layer depths, all of which were designed using the balancing section and the limit state design idea. The fibre depth is estimated to be 112 mm (d = 112 mm), with the first three dimensions being 94.44 mm (d1 = 94.44 mm), 46.12 mm (d2 = 22.35 mm), and 22.35 mm (d3) respectively. The …

AI-Accelerated Development of Gradient Polymer Nanocomposite Thin Films
Abstract: Gradient polymer nanocomposite thin films are an active field of materials research due to the fact that it enables scientists to de-facto regulate the optical, electrical, and mechanical properties of a film by merely altering its composition on a layer-by-layer basis. This type of control opens the gate to the improved flexible electronics, long lasting protective coats, and the new smart gadgets. The problem is, though, that it is a …
