Near Field Wireless Powering of Implantable Devices
Abstract: A new WPT system for biomedical applications has been investigated in this paper. First, an implantable receiving antenna with enhanced gain is studied. Then, a transmitting antenna array which can maximize the PTE of the WPT system is designed together with the receiving antenna and head model. Under the transmission distance of 150 mm, the PTE of the designed WPT system reaches a maximum value of 0.28% at the center …

Wearable Rectenna Array for Wireless Power Transmission
Abstract: This paper explains about design of wearable antenna array which is used for receiving the microwave power transmitted at dual frequencies. Direct current power is obtained at the end of rectifying antenna or (Rectenna) composed with filter and Schottky diode. Proposed wearable antenna is designed on jeans textile as a substrate and copper foil tap as conducting material. The antenna array has the dual band resonating frequencies which are 4.65 …

Combining Co-operative Diversity in Wireless Communication
Abstract: Wireless devices cannot employ Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) due to hardware or size limitation. Wireless device should replicate their single antenna virtually to act like MIMO system for better performance. This process is possible through a new system known as co-operative communication. In this system, the terminal or nodes combined to transmit the signals to follow an antenna array and form the diversity. Diversity is nothing but transfer of …

Direction of Arrival Estimation in Mobile Communication Systems using MUSIC Algorithm
Abstract: AbstractAdaptive antenna arrays use multiple antenna elements to form directional patterns in order to improve the performance of wireless communication systems. The antenna arrays also have the ability to estimate the Direction-of-Arrival (DoA) of the signals received from the desired transmitters as well as the directions of interference signals. The results of DoA estimation are then used to adjust the weights of the adaptive Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) antenna so that …

Design of Phase Coded Sequences for MIMO Radar Systems
Abstract: MIMO radar technology is emerging trend in the radar systems and researchers are interested to explore this technology. Phased array radars show single waveform radiated in one direction where has MIMO antennas can radiate in different directions and locate multiple targets with better resolution. To design waveform for MIMO radar, every transmitted waveform must orthogonal all corresponding waveform. Many binary orthogonal sequences, i.e., orthogonal with respect to frequency or phase …
