Hygrothermal Analysis of Functionally Graded Material Plates
Abstract: This study introduces a novel higher-order shear deformation theory, tailored to accommodate various loading conditions experienced by laminated plates. The theory is specifically designed for the hygrothermal analysis of functionally graded plates. Three homogenization methods are used to calculate the Young's Modulus that is Power law distribution, The exponential distribution and The Mori-Tanaka scheme. Navier's solution scheme is used for flexural analysis of Functionally graded plates simply supported at all …

Investigating Flexural Behavior in Cyclic Loading of Fly Ash-Based Green Concrete
Abstract: The construction industry is increasingly embracing sustainable materials, and geopolymer concrete (GPC) has emerged as a promising eco-friendly alternative to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Derived from industrial by-products such as fly ash, GPC offers significant environmental advantages by reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with conventional cement production. This study explores the monotonic and cyclic performance of fly ash-based GPC, with a focus on its mechanical and structural behavior. Key properties, …

Conductive Polymers for Electro-Mechanical Systems: Structure–Property Relationships and Mechanical Behavior Under Stress
Abstract: Conductive polymers represent a unique class of functional materials that combine the electrical characteristics of metals with the mechanical flexibility of polymers. These dual properties are critical for the next generation of electro-mechanical systems, including wearable sensors, soft robotics, structural health monitoring (SHM), and biomedical actuators. However, the mechanical performance of conductive polymers under diverse stress conditions—such as elongation, cyclic loading, bending, and impact—remains a key challenge, limiting their long-term …

Exploring the Impact of Lattice Strain on the Debye-Waller Factor in Iron Nanoparticles: A Comprehensive Analysis
Abstract: This study systematically investigates the influence of lattice strain and particle size in iron powder produced through milling, employing X-ray powder diffraction. The determination of lattice strain (ε) and the Debye-Waller factor (B) is accomplished by analyzing Bragg reflection half-widths and integrated intensities. Significantly, the Debye-Waller factor exhibited a notable increase with lattice strain. By establishing a correlation between stress and the influential Debye-Waller factor, we derived a precise relationship …

Mechanical Performance and Material Properties of Nsm CFRP Polymer System
Abstract: Near-surface mounting systems are an advanced embedded technique application of CFRP composites in which the efficiency of the structure is mostly dominated by polymer matrix properties and interface stress transfer mechanisms. This review presents a holistic materials-based perspective on the experiment, analytical, and numerical studies conducted on the NSM-CFRP composite system, specifically on the behavior of the epoxy adhesive, interfacial behavior of composite–substrate system, and related structure–property relationships. The literature …

Experimental Analysis of Glass Fiber Composite on Low Velocity Impacts
Abstract: This research specifically deals with determining the retained tensile strength after loading Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composites following low-velocity impact. The purpose is to determine the degree to which these impacts affect the structural performance and mechanical integrity of GFRP materials. Experimental tests were conducted on glass fiber composite specimens in order to observe variation in tensile strength upon impact. The results indicated significant tensile strength reduction in impact …
