Sol–Gel Synthesis of SrAl4O7 and Defect-Related Luminescence Properties
Abstract: Single phase of monoclinic SrAl4O7 is synthesized by sol–gel process at a markedly lower temperature as compared to conventional solid-state reaction. The sol–gel derived samples were characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and spectrofluorometer. The XRD analysis shows that the strontium aluminate has the monoclinic (α-SrA2) structure. It was demonstrated that the PL emission was obtained at 395 nm, 510 nm …

Synthesis and Characterization of Terbium Doped Strontium Aluminate Nanophosphor
Abstract: Luminescence investigations of Tb activated strontium aluminate phosphors prepared using the sol-gel method are described. The phosphor has been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscope. Optical properties were studied by photoluminescence spectra. Photoluminescence studies of the prepared phosphors showed prominent IR emission, apart from near-band edge emission and green emission. Synthesis and Characterization of Strontium Aluminate Nanophosphors
Abstract: Monoclinic SrAl4O7 nanophosphors with different weight percentage of aluminium were synthesized by low temperature sol-gel method. The morphology, composition and structure of the synthesized phosphors were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), photoluminescence emission spectra (PL) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) respectively. It was found that PL emission was obtained at 395, 520, and 790 nm corresponding to blue, green and IR region of the spectrum, respectively. …
