Monoclinic SrAl4O7 nanophosphors with different weight percentage of aluminium were synthesized by low temperature sol-gel method. The morphology, composition and structure of the synthesized phosphors were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), photoluminescence emission spectra (PL) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) respectively. It was found that PL emission was obtained at 395, 520, and 790 nm corresponding to blue, green and IR region of the spectrum, respectively.
