Behavior of SFRC composite pile resting on sloping ground of cohesive and non-cohesive strata
Abstract: Reinforced concrete piles are increasingly being utilized in situations where there is a need to transfer loads in deep strata, particularly for infrastructure projects built on sloping grounds. The present study comprises a finite element analysis (FEA) to investigate the lateral load-bearing capacity of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) pile, embedded in sloping grounds with sandy and clayey soils. The lateral load capacity of the steel fiber reinforced concrete pile …

Finite Element Analysis and Validation of Axial Capacity of RC Columns Made of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC)
Abstract: Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) possesses many excellent dynamic performances such as; high resistance to explosion and penetration. It has little effect on pre-cracking behavior in uniaxial compression, but substantially enhances its post cracking response. This response leads to a greatly improved ductility and toughness. Steel fibers in SFRC are capable of preventing crack propagation as well as brittle failure of columns under uniaxial compression. To this end, four reinforced …

Comparative Study of Steel Fiber for various shape
Abstract: This research paper presents a comparative study of metal-reinforced steel fibers in concrete. The study aims to analyze the effects of incorporating metal fibers along with steel fibers on the Compressive, flexure, and structural properties of steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC). Analytical review were conducted on various concrete mixtures, comparing samples with different shape of steel fibers. The results show that the addition of metal fibers improves the mechanical properties of …

The Study of Structural Behavior of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beam
Abstract: The steel fibers are most widely used fibers in the present state of development of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC). This is due to the advantage that the addition of fibers to concrete converts the brittle characteristics of concrete to a ductile one, such as slabs and thin webs, where the use of shear reinforcement is not possible, the steel fibers gives them the strength to resist shear. The present study …

Durability and Non Destructive Test of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Concrete
Abstract: AbstractAim: This paper presents the strength and performances of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) and hybrid fibre reinforced concrete (HFRC). The hybrid fibre is considered in the combination of hooked end steel fibres and polypropylenes fibres. Method: To study the durability properties, the fibre content dosage V f ranged from 0.5 to 2.0% of steel fibres, and 0.8SF0.3PP, 0.7SF0.3PP, 0.6SF0.4PP, 0.5SF0.5PP of hybrid fibres. 10 mixes including one control mix …
