Assessing the Influence of Aggregates and Cement Type on the Properties of Roller-compacted Concrete
Abstract: Roller-compacted concrete (RCC) pavement is suitable for heavy traffic and harsh environment. In the present investigation, RCC slab samples have been prepared using two types of aggregates (crushed and rounded), and two types of cement binder (ordinary Portland and sulphate resistant). Cubes and beam specimens have been extracted from the slab samples with the aid of diamond saw. Specimens were tested for bulk density, ultrasound pulse velocity, compressive and flexural …

Advancements in Reinforcement Learning: A Comprehensive Analysis of Algorithms, Applications, and Future Directions in Artificial Intelligence
Abstract: This work provides an overview of Reinforcement Learning (RL), an important field of artificial intelligence (AI) aims to provide the long-term benefits by learning a relating with a given environment. It spells out everything, what agents and environments do, to how rewards, states, and behaviours. It spent lot of time on looking the most usable RL algorithms, like DQN, SARSA, and Q-Learning. These studies provide a clear view of RL. …

Detecting the Failure Stages in Asphalt Concrete Through the Fatigue Life
Abstract: The signs of failure initiation in asphalt concrete through its service life may appear as cracking, rutting, or other types of distress after practicing dynamic stresses from vehicular loading. This work is concerned with detecting the failure initiation in asphalt concrete in the laboratory, and the role of binder content and constant strain level through a comprehensive testing program. Asphalt concrete mixtures were formulated with the optimal binder content, as …

Initiation of Distress in Asphalt Concrete After Practicing Moisture Damage
Abstract: The moisture damage of asphalt concrete is considered as major type of distress in heavy rainfall environment. In this work, the decline in the initial flexural stiffness of asphalt concrete was monitored after practicing the moisture damage process. The variations were analyzed relative to the control mixture. Asphalt concrete mixtures were created in the laboratory with the optimal binder content. Extra mixtures were also prepared with ±0.5% variation of binder …
