Potential Application of Pyrolysis Bio-Oil as a Substitute for Diesel and Petroleum Fuel
Abstract: In this review, the potential of biomass-based pyrolysis bio-oil for a replacement to diesel and petroleum fuel was reported. Relevant articles on the pyrolysis of agricultural wastes were consulted. The properties of the bio-oils, diesel, and petroleum were compared. It was found in the literature values that the bio-oil derived from the pyrolysis of empty fruit bunches (EFB) and wood showed a remarkable heating value of 32.60 and 32.40 MJ/kg, …

Formation, Analysis and Characterization of Wood Pyrolysed Oil
Abstract: Pyrolysis of wood is the possible path for converting biomass to higher valuable products such as bio-oil, bio-char and bio-gas. Bio-oil or liquid bio-fuels have higher heating values, so it can store and transport more conveniently the by-products bio-char and bio-gas, which can be used to provide heat required in the process. This work is focused on the formation, analysis and characterization of bio-oil which was obtained from the mixed …

Generating Fuel Energy by Catalytic Pyrolyzing of Microalgae
Abstract: In biomass pyrolysis process, a catalyst is used to modify the pyrolysis gases' chemical composition and increase the bio-oil fraction. This process uses the byproducts of thermal conversion processes. It is anticipated that the introduction of pyrolysis catalysts in the case of microalgae will lower the bio-oxygen oil's content and increase the number of added-value compounds in this liquid fraction. Catalysts can also help decrease the nitrogen in bio-oil. As …

Low cost method for fuel production from Plastic waste
Abstract: There is a huge problem of plastic waste remaining bulbous, eventhough many solutions are put forth. The production of synthetic plastic has reached 400 million tons worldwide, from which 50% is thrown in landfills or recycled; 15 million tons reach seas and oceans.Inceneration and other waste management methods have many limitations, which includes hazards of secondary pollutants. And moreover, there is no more land filling space for waste accumulation. Land …

Biocatalytic Process by Biodiesel Production to the help of Environment
Abstract: The synthesis of fatty acid esters using vegetable oils seems to be a crucial process that yields good diesel fuel substitutes and useful oleochemical intermediates. Biodiesel is made from fatty acid methyl esters, which are a mixture of mono-alkyl esters produced from vegetable oils including sunflower oil, soyabean oil, rapeseed oil, peanut oil, cotton seed oil, and animal fats like pig fats and lard. Biodiesel can also be made from …

Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) Technology for Tire Pyrolysis: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) is an innovative technology that is mimics of natural coal formation processes to convert wet biomass into valuable carbon-rich materials known as "biochar." This process involves subjecting organic matter, like agricultural waste, food residues, or sewage sludge, under high-pressure & moderate-temperature conditions (around 180-250°C & 2-4 MPa) in presence of water. HTC technology accelerates process of the dehydration & carbonization of biomass, thus producing a solid product …

Comparative Study of Tire Oil and Cashew Nutshell Oil Biofuel Blends with Diesel
Abstract: We are going to compare Cashew Nutshell Oil (CNSO) diesel blend and Tire Oil diesel blend in this paper. Usually, Cashew Nutshell Oil is produced from the waste that is collected from cashew nut industry. Tire oil is the liquid fuel that is produced from waste tires. Many tests were going on to study the fire point of both CNSO and Tire oil blends. Kinematic viscosity is high in case …

Exploring Sustainable Fuel Production from Waste: A Feasibility Study in Zimbabwe
Abstract: Some organisms are in danger of going extinct, and environmental pollution from waste plastics, tires, and used lubricating oils has significantly contributed to the decline of biodiversity. Tires, plastics, and spent oil all contribute significantly to environmental deterioration, and this issue has been linked to improper treatment and disposal of these materials. Only 15% of the 200 auto technicians surveyed for this study acknowledged that they reuse spent oil, 5% …
