A Concurrent Estimation of Phytoconstituents Piperine, Quercetin and Kaempferol Present in Siddha Polyherbal Formulation Kabasara Kudineer by Rp-Hplc
Abstract: A straightforward, accurate, and precise technique was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Quercetin, Kaempferol, and Piperine in the polyherbal formulation Kabasura Kudineer. The sample was chromatographed using a C18 column (150x4.6mm, 5u) with a mobile phase composed of Acetonitrile and Ortho phosphoric acid in a 45:55 ratio, flowing through the column at a rate of 1ml/min. The detection wavelength for Quercetin, Kaempferol, and Piperine was set at …

Analytical Method Development and Validation of Simultaneous Estimation of Natural Active Constituents Andrographolide and Piperine by UV Method.
Abstract: A simple, accurate, precise, and robust UV-Visible spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of Andrographolide and Piperine in bulk and combined pharmaceutical dosage forms. Preformulation studies confirmed favorable physicochemical properties for both drugs, including acceptable solubility profiles, melting points, pH values, and partition coefficients. The method development involved determination of λmax values at 224 nm for Andrographolide and 288 nm for Piperine using ethanol as solvent. …

Bioenhancer to Boost Herbal Drug Efficacy
Abstract: Bioenhancers are natural substances that significantly improve the absorption, bioavailability, and therapeutic efficacy of drugs when co-administered, without showing notable pharmacological activity of their own. In herbal medicine, the concept of bioenhancement has received growing attention as many phytoconstituents exhibit low oral bioavailability due to poor solubility, limited permeability, and extensive first-pass metabolism. The traditional Ayurvedic system first introduced this concept through the discovery of Piperine, the active alkaloid from …
