Arabidopsis thaliana. (L.) Heynh Multifunctional Sensor Proteins and Signaling Networks Plant Photoreceptors
Abstract: Light is a crucial environmental cue for the growth and development of plants as well as the production of photosynthetic energy. In order to recognize and process information from incoming light, plants employ sophisticated mechanisms. With the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, five different types of photoreceptors have been found. (L.) Heynh Photoreceptors play a specialized and/or recurring role in fine-tuning many aspects of the plant's life cycle. Unlike mobile animals, …

Photoreceptor Dynamics: Light Sensing and Cellular Responses for Photochemistry
Abstract: Photoreceptor dynamics represent a fundamental aspect of photochemistry, encompassing the mechanisms by which biological systems detect and respond to light stimuli. Photoreceptors are specialized proteins that undergo structural and functional changes upon photon absorption, initiating a cascade of molecular events that translate light signals into cellular responses. These proteins are ubiquitous across life forms, including microbial rhodopsins, plant phytochromes, and animal opsins, each finely tuned to specific wavelengths and light …

Recent Trends in Ocular Drug Delivery: Challenges and Approaches
Abstract: Drug topically regulation can be accessed most easily in the eye. When given topically as eye drops, medication ocular bioavailability is quite low. Drug entry into specific ocular locations is complicated by the complex anatomy and physiology of the human eye. Research has long been interested in the topical administration of successful treatments. To provide a suitable ocular penetration and extend the duration of drug residence is their challenging task. …

Sensors based Human Visual System: e-Retina
Abstract: This study explores the potential of bio-inspired sensor design to replicate the adaptive and highly efficient nature of the human visual system and e-retina. This study presents a novel sensor array incorporating foveated vision principles and dynamic range adaptation mechanisms. Our study demonstrates the improved performance of this system in complex visual scenes, particularly in low illumination and high-contrast scenarios. This study highlights the advantages of mimicking biological principles in …
