A New Developed Photoelectrochemical Cell for Hydrogen Generation
Abstract: There are many methods for the industrial production of hydrogen, including: steam reforming of methane and natural gas; coal gasification; biotechnology; electrolysis of water, etc. The most effective method of obtaining of pure hydrogen is the use of photoelectrochemical cell. Photoelectrochemical cells produces hydrogen directly from solar energy. In a photoelectrochemical cell, a silicon semiconductor with an anode attached to it, immersed in an aqueous electrolyte solution and excited by …

Influence of Crystallization Time by Hydrothermal Synthesis of Ag NPs-Zeolite Composite
Abstract: The nanocomposites Ag NPs-zeolite involve zeolite loaded with silver nanoparticles and have been prepared by an easy one-pot hydrothermal autoclave method. Three samples of silver-bearing zeolite were prepared for 8 hours, 6 hours, and 4 hours, respectively, inside an autoclave at 100°C. A range of characterization procedures were used to examine the samples, such as x-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), UV-visible spectroscopy, and zeta potential. Results …

ZnO Nanostructure Shape Effects in Photocatalysis of Methylene Blue
Abstract: Nowadays, dyes are used in the food industry, textile industry, paper industry, hair coloring, light-harvesting arrays, photoelectrochemical cells, etc. Most of the dyes are nonbiodegradable, toxic, carcinogenic, and consist of organic compounds. These dye wastages are discharged into water bodies and the environment causing serious hazards to the marine ecosystem as well as the humans extensively. To treat toxic dyes traditional methods such as adsorption, activated carbon, ultrafiltration, and reverse …

Nanostructured Catalysts for Sustainable CO2 Reduction: Advancing Green Chemistry and Polymer Composites
Abstract: Artificial photosynthesis is the advancement of a process that utilizes sunlight to convert CO₂ and H₂O into high-energy fuels (methanol, hydrogen) analogous to photosynthetic pathways. Carbon-neutral energy is critical to tackling climate change, and this method provides a solution by offering an alternative to fossil fuels while also minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. Nanostructured catalysts such as plasmonic metals and hybrid nanocomposites greatly improve efficiency and scaling. Recent developments in the …
