Role of GO and rGO on the Structural Properties of PA6/PMMA Blend Nanocomposites
Abstract: To understand and assess the role of Graphene Oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) in the PA6/PMMA blend, nanocomposites, the PA6/PMMA (50:50 wt%) blend-based nanocomposites were prepare by loading different wt% of GO and rGO (1wt% and 3wt%), through twin screw melt extrusion followed by injection moulding technique. Different compositions of the nanocomposites were prepared using melt mixed method at 2300C by applying a rotational torque 50 N. All …

Investigation of Mechanical Characteristics of 3D Printed Composite Materials (Poly Ethylene Terephthalate Glycol and Nylon PA6)
Abstract: It has been widely employed in various industries, including the biomedical, manufacturing, aerospace, car, industrial, and building sectors. In order to gather information on various printing temperatures and rates, the composite's goal is to describe the nylon and polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) materials of FDM under loading circumstances (tension, compression, and bending). According to the findings, PETG and nylon both demonstrate a clear tensile and compression asymmetry. Higher printing temperatures …

Investigation of Mechanical Characteristics of 3D Printed Composite Materials (Polyoxymethylene and Nylon (PA6))
Abstract: Metals and thermosetting polymers are being replaced by 3D printed fiber reinforced composites because of their lightweight construction and mechanical performance. The adoption of 3D printing technology is due to reduced material waste, design freedom, and the ability to construct complicated structures. A technique for additive manufacturing that can create intricately functional parts is fused deposition modeling. The 3D printed nylon fiber reinforced polyoxymethylene samples are fabricated with different proportions …

Structure–Property-Guided Polymer–Metal Hybrid Design of a Wall Plastering Spray Assembly
Abstract: Wall plastering spray equipment requires a combination of low mass, dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, chemical compatibility with cementitious mortar, and comfortable operator interaction. The original assembly was primarily developed as a metallic mechanical system; however, a polymer-focused material architecture can reduce non-load-bearing mass while retaining a safe metallic pressure path. This study, therefore, presents a structure–property-guided polymer–metal hybrid design in which the pressure housing and nozzle insert remain metallic, whereas …

COMPOSITION, RADIATION DOSE AND TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT DEGRADATION STUDIES OF POLYAMIDE 6 HOMOPOLYMER AND COPOLYMERS
Abstract: Composition radiation dose temperature dependency on free radicals generated in PA6, PA6/ PA12 copolymer, has been investigated by electron spin resonance (ESR) and FTIR techniques. ESR spectra of -irradiated PA6 has shown complex shaped and number of hyperfine lines is observed to be in between 6-10. This complex spectrum is assigned to macro-radicals of the type ~CH2CHCH2~, which in principle has to give a ten line ESR spectrum. However, due …

Polymer Matrix-Based High-Performance Thermoplastic Composites for Automotive Applications: Design, Characterization, and Interface Behavior
Abstract: The study emphasizes the role of high-performance thermoplastic polymer matrices such as PEEK, PPS, and PA6, selected for their superior thermal stability, mechanical strength, and recyclability in automotive environments. The expanded usage of electric vehicles (EVs) and self-driving transportation creates a demand for advanced materials which are weight-conscious yet high in strength relative to their weight, impact-resistant yet still being environmentally friendly. This study aims to create and define fiber-reinforced …
