Efficient Conversion of Sponge Iron from Iron Ore-Coal Composite
Abstract: Today India stands as the largest producer of coal based sponge iron using calibrated ore and non-coking coal. Production of sponge iron, via the direct reduction route using rotary kilns, continues to experience significant growth in India. Direct-reduced iron (DRI), also called sponge iron, is produced from direct reduction of iron ore (in the form of lumps, pellets or fines) by a reducing gas produced from natural gas or coal. …

Analytical Study on Humidity Sensing of Nanostructured Tin Oxide
Abstract: Nanocrystalline tin oxide powder was prepared by a mechanochemical method. The synthesised powder was characterised using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). XRD shows the crystalline nature of the synthesised material. The crystallite size was estimated using Debye–Scherrer equation and its minimum value was 9 nm. Surface morphologies of the sensing pellets were investigated using SEM. Pellets as well as thick films were used as sensing elements for …

Preparation and Physico-chemical Analysis of Apasmarari Rasa – An Ayurvedic Formulation
Abstract: AbstractApasmarari Rasa, a unique Ayurvedic preparation has the main ingredients like Hingulottha Shuddha Parad (HSP), Shuddha Gandhaka (SG) and Shuddha Tuttha (ST) and Bhavana Dravya (trituration) as Tinospora cordifolia (Guduchi). The Chakrikas (pellets) prepared after giving bhavana to the above-mentioned ingredients, were sealed in Sharava (shallow earthen disc) Samputa (uniform smeared and dried) and subjected to Agni. After self-cooling (Swangasheeta), the mixture was triturated with Musa paradisiaca Linn (Kadali Kanda …

Efficiency of Garamycin for the Control of Bacterial Disease: Flacherrie in the Larval Instars of Silkworm, Bombyx mori (L) (Race: Double Hybrid)
Abstract: Flacherrie, the bacterial disease is the most significant parameter associated with the loss of silk yield. The loss of appetite; discharge watery feces and vomiting are the common symptoms of infection of bacteria to the larval instars of silkworm, Bombyx mori (L). The present attempt is dealing with utilization of antibiotic compound for the control of bacterial disease: flacherrie in the larval instars of silkworm, Bombyx mori (L) (Race: Bivoltine …
