Evaluation of Mid Altitude Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) Variety at Siltie Zone, Southern Regional State of Ethiopia
Abstract: Sorghum is one of most vital crops cultivated over a wide extreme ecological habitat in Ethiopia. Five released Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) varieties with one local check were tested in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications during 2017 to 2018 cropping season at two locations. The experiment was carried out to identify and select the best high yielding sorghum varieties for the target area. The varieties consisted …

Response of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) Varieties to NPS Fertilizer Rate in Mid Altitude of Southern Ethiopia
Abstract: Forage legume species adaptation has been done across Ethiopia; however, information on agronomic practice like fertilizer rate is generally scarce. So, the current study was to determine the influence of NPS fertilizer rate and varieties on dry matter yield, agronomic trait and nutritional value of Alfalfa at Werabe Agricultural Research Center (WARC). Experiment was applied factorial arrangement by using randomized complete block design with three replications. Fertilizer rates were (25, …

The Effect of Urea Fertilizer Rate and Spacing on Dry Matter Yield of Desho Grass-Alfalfa (Medicago Sativa L) Mixture in Mid Altitude of Southern Ethiopia
Abstract: Economic development in developing countries is unable to keep pace with the population growth and food/feed shortage. Growing high yielding quality forage crops with appropriate agronomic packages and using cropping systems that enable to produce two or more forage crops in a year at the same place is essential. Experiment was therefore conducted to evaluate the effects of urea fertilizer rate and row spacing on the morphological characteristics, yield and …

Five Point Circle for the Triangular Form of Double Reciprocal (Lineweaver-Burk) Plot in Enzyme Biochemistry
Abstract: The nine circle in geometry desrve significance of correlation with circumscribed circle, inscribed circle and the Euler line for a triangle. The nine significant concyclic points on the circle recognized by the triangle include: the midpoint of each side of the triangle; the foot point of each altitude and the midpoint of the line segment from each vertex of the triangle to the orthocenter (where the three altitudes meet; these …

Application of Wavelet De-noising for Wind Speed Retrieval from a 2.5 MHz Partial Reflection Radar
Abstract: Atmospheric studies related to middle-atmospheric coupling, climate monitoring, steering profiles for expendable launch vehicles and re-entry missions require atmospheric wind profiles as an important input. Atmospheric wind profiling is conventionally carried out using rawinsondes and radiosondes flown in high altitude balloons, complemented by sounding rockets and ground-based radars. The partial reflection radar (PRR) can be effectively used for the same purpose to an altitude of about 100 km. But deriving …

Climate variability analysis over the state of Himachal Pradesh, India
Abstract: Longterm daily temperature and rainfall data (2000–2024) for thirty-five locations ranging from ~350 to >4000 m amsl were obtained from the NASA POWER database. The variability and trends in maximum, minimum temperature and rainfall were worked out by using different statistical tools and Mann-Kendal test trend analysis. The mean annual maximum temperature of the state was 20.3°C (CV = 3.9%), declining from 27.4°C in the low hills to 7.2°C at …
