Synthesis and Characterization of Forsterite Incorporated HDPE Composites for Microwave Substrate Application
Abstract: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) combined with dispersed forsterite (Mg₂SiO₄) powder was utilized to fabricate polymer matrix composites (PMCs) aimed at high-frequency microwave substrate applications. Forsterite powders were synthesized using the mixed oxide method, and their phase purity was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The dispersion and morphology of the ceramic filler within the HDPE matrix were examined through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), ensuring a homogeneous distribution essential for optimal …

Dielectric Polymer Based Tunable Bandpass Filter for RF MEMS Applications
Abstract: In this paper, we report on the design, modeling, and analysis of a tunable bandpass filter implemented in a coplanar waveguide (CPW) configuration, where a distributed MEMS transmission line (DMTL) is integrated with dielectric polymer layers to achieve dynamic frequency and bandwidth reconfigurability. The proposed filter architecture leverages the tunable dielectric response of polymer films, enabling precise control of the center frequency and passband width under applied electrostatic bias. Comprehensive …

Advanced Liquid Crystal Polymer Substrate for Flexible Antenna Design
Abstract: A type of thermoplastic polymers known as liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) is frequently used to package millimeter (mm)-wave, microwave, and radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits that operate at frequencies as high as 60GHz. LCPs are of prospective relevance as packaging material for advanced circuits at mm-wave frequencies due to their appealing electrical, thermal, and mechanical qualities and comparatively low cost. Flexible and conformal antennas are made possible by LCP's exceptional …
