Compact MIMO Antenna Array based on Koch Fractal Metamaterial for 5G Applications
Abstract: In this paper, a design of a printed MIMO antenna array for 5G applications is proposed based on low profile structure. Thus, the antenna element is designed as a printed mender monopole with a partial ground plane. The partial ground plane is proposed to realize bandwidth enhancements through etching rectangular slots in the antenna back panel. It is found that such antenna shows two frequency bands, S11<-10dB, from 3 GHz …

An overview of fractal antennas
Abstract: Wireless communication for wireless applications is growing at a faster rate these days. There is a greater need for low-profile, multiband or wideband antennas. With the elevated low-profile antennas are in high demand due to advancements in antenna technology. The fractal antenna's self-similarity and self-repetitive characteristics enable it to satisfy this requirement. I give a thorough overview of fractals in this review paper, going on to discuss their dimensions and …

Design of a Fractal Aperture Coupled Microstrip Antenna for UWB Applications
Abstract: Ultra wide band frequency allocation of 5.3–9.2 GHz spectrum by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) presented myriad applications of exciting opportunities and challenges for design in the communication arena, including antenna design. The compact antenna designs with operating bandwidths of more than 100% are a challenging demand for the current wireless scenario. This can be easily met with fractal boundaries by using wide slot antennas. In this paper, fractal slot antenna …

A Survey on Fractal Antennas
Abstract: Modern communication systems demand antennas with (1) compact size, (2) low profile, and (3) multi or broadband characteristics without altering antenna properties moreover, if possible enhancement should obtain. “The Fractal Antenna” operates at all ideal characteristics. So the present paper considers different fractal geometries, and its operation as antenna
